To install MacPorts on Ubuntu, you first need to build some requirements:

- mtree

    sudo pbuilder build mtree_2.7-5.dsc

The other requirements should be available in the Ubuntu repositories...

- gnustep-gui-runtime (optional)

- tclthread
- sqlite3
- openssl
- rsync
- curl
