Reported by mschamschula@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

gdal @1.11.1_3 +poppler (in my case gdal @1.11.1_3+curl+expat+geos+hdf4+hdf5+jasper+lzma+mysql5+netcdf+poppler+sqlite3) fails to build against poppler @0.31.0_0. See attached log file.

#46805 p5.20-tk @804.32.0_1 (perl) segfaults macports-tickets@… defect new Normal

Reported by jgrg@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

Installing perl/Tk, the version that comes with p5.20 segfaults, but p5.18-tk and p5.16-tk seem to work fine:

$ perl5.20 -e 'use Tk; my $w = MainWindow->new'
Segmentation fault: 11
$ perl5.18 -e 'use Tk; my $w = MainWindow->new'
$ perl5.16 -e 'use Tk; my $w = MainWindow->new'

I'm using Xcode 6.1 on Yosemite on a 64 bit machine.

#46802 bladeRF build fails michaelld@… defect closed Normal

Reported by jbwmyoung@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

When I try to install bladeRF, the build fails.

After attempting to build bladeRF, I get the error

Error: org.macports.build for port bladeRF returned: command execution failed

I am running OSX 10.6.8 with Xcode 3.2.6

I have updated MacPorts and tried to clean bladeRF and reinstall with no luck. I saw a previous ticket with something similar, but the fix seems to have been on the developers side rather than a user fix.

Attached is the log file for the install.

#46800 gnome-terminal is not working devans@… defect assigned Normal

Reported by lightoml@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

I installed gnome-termianl and ran it. But I have below error message.

Could you solve the problem?

Thanks!

#46799 fltk-devel not building michaelld@… defect closed Normal

Reported by matthias@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

When I try to install fltk-devel, I get the following:

sudo port install fltk-devel
--->  Computing dependencies for fltk-devel

Then it stays like this forever (I killed it after a few days).

#46798 kdenlive: DV module, QImage, Title module disabled mk@… defect new Normal

Reported by hemant_verma2000@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

Hi,

I recently installed kdenlive on OS X Yesomite 10.10.2. It installed successfully. However, DV module, QImage and Title modules are disabled in the config wizard and I believe, because of that I'm facing the following issues on the "Add title" window:

  1. 'Ok' button is always disabled. Only 'Cancel' is enabled. So I can't add a title clip.
  2. When I click on colour section, the colour palette doesn't appear.

melt: 0.9.2

Qt: 4.8.6

KDE Development Platform: 4.14.3

kde4-config: 1.0

Anyone else has faced similar issues?

Thanks

#46796 airspy configuration failed michaelld@… defect closed Normal

Reported by jbwmyoung@…, 7 weeks ago.

Description

I have been trying to install gqrx via MacPorts, but I ran into an error when it came to the airspy dependency. It appears there is something wrong with the configuration.

This is the output I get

Error: org.macports.configure for port airspy returned: configure failure: command execution failed
Error: Failed to install airspy

It then directs me to a log file and requests that I open a ticket. The log file is at the end of this post. I tried looking at it, but I can't make any sense of where the error is.

I have tried to clean airspy and install it again, but I get the same error.

Additional information: I am running OSX 10.6.8 and my Xcode is 3.2.6.

#46760 tkdiff scrolling doesn't work anymore macports-tickets@… defect new Normal

Reported by summers@…, 8 weeks ago.

Description

Not sure when it stopped working, but tkdiff scrolling doesn't function properly. Click and drag on the central scroll tool and nothing happens. Two finger scrolling in one of the windows causes one window to scroll (sometimes) but not the other.

Macbook pro, running XQuartz 2.7.7, macport 2.3.3

#46755 inkscape @0.48.5_7: update to 0.91 devans@… update closed Normal

Reported by suv-sf@…, 8 weeks ago.

Description

Please update port inkscape to latest upstream release 0.91.

Note that 'port livecheck inkscape' with the current portfile won't detect the new version - the project has no plans to upload new releases to sf.net anymore. For a new livecheck, you might want to consider using the version info at inkscape.org or the project page at launchpad.net:

#46750 Error: Failed to install poppler devans@… defect assigned Normal

Reported by mioose@…, 8 weeks ago.

Description

Hello everyone,

I am trying to install the toolkit iAIDA (http://iaida.dynalias.net) using command macport : "sudo port -f install iAIDA" The install process stops when the building poppler executes :

Error: org.macports.build for port poppler returned: command execution failed
Error: Failed to install poppler

I am trying different MSDOS commands to circumvent the problem : port clean poppler, port upgrade outdated, etc. but the install of poppler remains still impossible. Enclosed to this ticket, you will find the main log of my problem. Someone can help me?

Thank you in advance.

#46747 p5-cache-cache: update to version 1.08, dependency p5-ipc-sharelite (not yet ported). khindenburg@… update closed Normal

Reported by devans@…, 8 weeks ago.

Description

Cache::Cache has been updated to version 1.08. Note also a missing dependency, IPC::ShareLite (not yet ported). This dependency is optional but necessary for included module Cache::SharedMemoryCache.

Currently configure gives the following warning:

Checking for IPC::ShareLite... not found

  NOTE: Your system does not seem to have IPC::ShareLite installed.
  This module is a prerequisite for the SharedMemoryCache
  implementations. However, since it is not available on all
  platforms, the Cache::Cache module does not list it as an explicit
  dependency. If you are able to build IPC::ShareLite (available on
  CPAN), please install it now and re run this Makefile.PL.
  Automatically disabling the tests for the SharedMemoryCache.

The problem appears to be from LLVM. I see it has already been reported to upstream from MacPorts for the ffmpeg port by Jeremy: http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmbugs/2013-December/031931.html. However I do not see any other MacPorts ticket so I am creating one.

#46731 variant weirdness doing incremental destroot of port:pulseaudio devans@… defect new Normal

Reported by rjvbertin@…, 2 months ago.

Description

I'm tinkering with the pulseaudio 5.0 code, so I do my usual dance of making point edits in the Portfile (e.g. adding a patch file) and then rewinding the state in .macports.pulseaudio.state to be able to do a port destroot and have it do a build first.

Here's what I see:

Could you fix the problem?

#46717 xfwm4: improved stacking in rooted mode afb@… enhancement new Normal

Reported by rjvbertin@…, 2 months ago.

Description

Most window managers are not prepared, when running under XQuartz or similar in rooted mode, to restack X11 windows outside of the stacking location the X server is itself in. As a result, clicking on a background X11 window will make the X server active and raise the X window w.r.t. other X windows, but it will not raise the window from behind "native" (Cocoa/Aqua) windows.

I'm attaching a patch that (re)enables this for "global" restacking operations (i.e. when xfwm4 does not try to restack a window w.r.t. some sibling window).

Bonus screenshot: xfwm4 with the Mint-X theme, epiphany using the GTk3 theme from port:oxygen-gtk3 and the +infinality variants of port:freetype, port:fontconfig and port:cairo.

#46705 cdo @1.6.6_1 install error due to missing dependencies macports-tickets@… defect closed Normal

Description

I am attempting to download port for the first time and it seems to have gone well except when I try to install cdo it gives me error saying that all the required dependencies are not there file:///opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_textproc_libiconv/libiconv/main.log

I have XCode 4.5.2 and have tried the suggested "configure.compiler..."

When I do port installed I only get:

  expat @2.1.0_0 (active)
  libiconv @1.14_0 (active)

which is not all that I need for cdo!

In all that I read it seems that port should pre-load all the dependencies for cdo to be installed but that isnt happening. I'm thinking I need to uninstall and re-install but Im open to suggestions. I'm a novice at all of this but I followed the directions closely and have checked for all updates and made sure my command line is installed on Xcode and all those extra things.
please help!

#46702 new port: porg macports-tickets@… submission new Normal

Reported by rjvbertin@…, 2 months ago.

Description
Porg (formerly known as paco), is a program to aid management of software packages installed from source code.

After the installation of such packages, one is usually left with having no idea of what it was installed and where it all went, making it difficult to uninstall the package in the future. Porg was written to solve this problem in a quite simple fashion.

When installing a package from sources, porg wraps the install command (e.g. "make install"), and saves installation information into a text database.

It does this rather cleverly by inserting a proxy dylib that catches and logs a number of system calls for the scope of the install command.

#46696 py-python-poppler-qt4: rename to py-poppler-qt4 and use PyPI petr@… enhancement closed Normal

Reported by davide.liessi@…, 2 months ago.

Description

I decided to rename py-python-poppler-qt4 and to use PyPI as source instead of GitHub (see the thread starting with this message).
I had to remove the entry about py-python-poppler-qt4 from py-graveyard because MacPorts cannot handle "replaced_by chains" (see the thread starting with this message).

The changes are meant to be applied all at once:

  • the Portfile for the new port py-poppler-qt4 is Portfile-py-poppler-qt4;
  • the py-python-poppler-qt4 Portfile must be replaced by Portfile-py-python-poppler-qt4;
  • the frescobaldi Portfile must be patched with Portfile-frescobaldi.diff;
  • the py-graveyard Portfile must be patched with Portfile-py-graveyard.diff.

so it is likely to be related to #40592. If there is not intention to fix gcc compilation, these variants should probably be removed.

Reported by Deil.Christoph@…, 2 months ago.

Description

Is it possible to add a Python 3.4 subport for py-matplotlib-basemap?

This was already discussed in this issue starting here: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/45584#comment:6

But it wan't 100% clear (at least to me) what exactly should be done to make this happen.

Before I saw this other issue I asked in the basemap issue tracker if they support Python 3 in version 1.0.7, because it wasn't clear from their REAME or the PyPI page: https://github.com/matplotlib/basemap/issues/176

The rmtrash port has not been updated since 2005, so I updated the utility and also corrected a nasty naming problem ("filename Copy10" became "filename copy 111" became "filename Copy1112" etc.)

u can find the updated code here: https://github.com/beatjunky99/rmtrash-for-Mac-OS-X

Still needs some testing on older Mac OS X versions.

So would be glad to hear from people reading this if they find a problem.

#46626 slatec @4.1_0+gcc49 Mavericks Slatec Linking Error sebastien.maret@… defect new Normal

Reported by paul.whelan07@…, 2 months ago.

Description

I have just installed the Slatec Common Mathematical Library for fortran using Macports. The installation was smooth with no errors. However, when writing a simple example code that calls the QAG integration routine from the library I get the following error:

Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64:

      _r1mach_ in libslatec.a(r1mach.o)
ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

slamch is begin referred from r1mach - which is a routine that deals with machine constants I think. This is an unexpected error given that the dependencies should have been taken care of by MacPorts.

I’m using Mavericks 10.9.5 on in Intel laptop if that helps.

Many thanks. Paul

#46623 procmail @3.22 on OS X Yosemite hits "Abort trap: 6" if variable assignment uses backticks macports-tickets@… defect new Normal

Reported by macports@…, 2 months ago.

Description

If my .procmailrc file contains a variable assignment like this

FROM=`sed 1d | formail -I reply-to: -I resent-from: -I return-path: | \
        formail -rzxTo:`

then procmail hits an "Abort trap: 6" as follows:

 mini1:~ collin$ cat Mail/backup/92862 | formail -imessage-id: | /opt/local/bin/procmail .procmailrc.1.18
 Abort trap: 6
 mini1:~ collin$

/usr/bin/procmail displays the same symptom. Both binaries are version 3.22 (they display the same version string as in procmail -v string), though they have some different attributes:

mini1:~ collin$ ls -l /usr/bin/procmail /opt/local/bin/procmail
-rwsr-sr-x  1 root  mail  97612 Dec  7 01:23 /opt/local/bin/procmail
-rwxr-sr-x  1 root  mail  84576 Sep  9 15:57 /usr/bin/procmail
mini1:~ collin$ file /usr/bin/procmail /opt/local/bin/procmail
/usr/bin/procmail:       setgid Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64
/opt/local/bin/procmail: setuid setgid Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64
mini1:~ collin$

Removing the FROM=... line makes the problem go away--i.e., procmail does what I expect (and indeed what it does do on Linux, and what /usr/bin/procmail formerly did on Mac OS X 10.6.8).

The same .procmailrc script has worked OK for a few years on a mac mini. Until 2 days back, this mac mini had been running 10.6.8 (not sure when the last OS upgrade was, but it has been months).

I was hoping for a coredump so I naively tried "ulimit -c unlimited" but no coredump appeared after the abort.

The backtick sequence inside a recipe doesn't provoke an abort; the following works just fine:

:0 ic
| cd backup && rm -f dummy `ls -t | sed -e 1,128d`

It seems to be only a line of the form

VAR=`cmd`

that the current procmail (both /usr/bin/procmail and the port) hates.

Also: I tried replacing the long "FROM=" line above by

FROM=`cat`

which also proved disappointing
