#48239 Can not change application colors via KDE System settings nicos@… defect new Normal

Reported by tryingkaspersky@…, 2 months ago.

Description

On kubuntu it is possible to change KDE applications colors via System Settings>Application Appearance>Colors. You can just choose a color, click apply and the colors are changed.

On macports KDE this doesn't seem to work, the default gray color remains after you attempt to change colors.

It seems possible to change widget styles though.

#48226 QMK-Groundstation: use qmake PortGroup, require qwt52 macports@… enhancement new Normal

Reported by michaelld@…, 2 months ago.

Description

subject says it all. patch attached. minor changes, but want to run them by the owner first.

fix master site to match their new website repo.

moving to the qmake PortGroup is pretty simple; this addresses ticket #39424.

I want to deprecate qwt 5.1.2 and move the 'qwt' port to the latest 5.2 series, to match up with how the QWT project is handling their repos (latest 5 and latest 6). If this port is compatible with qwt6+, then I'd recommend adding in a variant to handle selection (I didn't test this, one way or the other).

#48225 scidavis: allow for cmake-devel and move to qwt52 nicos@… enhancement new Normal

Reported by michaelld@…, 2 months ago.

Description

summary says it all. patch attached. minor changes, but want to run them by the owner first.

This is the last port that I can find that requires 'qwt' only -- QMK-Groundstation has a variant for this (qwt 5.1 or qwt 5.2), which I will request removal of the former & using qwt52 only.

#48205 py27-pyqwt: support for qwt60 michaelld@… enhancement new Normal

Reported by jeremy.holleman@…, 2 months ago.

Description

Is it possible to install gnuradio with qwt60 instead of qwt52? From the deps info on gnuradio and based on my handful of attempts, it would appear that it is not, but the gnuradio package I am trying to use (gr-radar: https://github.com/kit-cel/gr-radar) requires it, suggesting that it is possible, at least on some platforms.

I tried deactivating qwt, py27-pyqwt, and gnuradio; installing qwt60; and then running "port install gnuradio" with fingers crossed, but that resulted in this (expected) error: "Error: Unable to execute port: Can't install qwt52 because conflicting ports are active: qwt60"

Misc info: I've just run port selfupdate and port upgrade outdated. I'm on a MacBook Pro running 10.10.3.

Thanks, Jeremy

#48179 can not port anything macports-tickets@… defect closed Normal

Reported by swen@…, 2 months ago.

Description

Hi,I installed macport on my desktop which I do not have root access. The configure I used is:

./configure --prefix=/Users/wen/macport --with-no-root-privileges --with-install-user=wen --with-macports-user=wen --with-install-group=nogroup

after installing MacPort, I tried to use it to port cmake and qt5, but it can not find cmake:

hollyhock:bin wen6$ port install cmake
Error: Port cmake not found

It happens to others too, qt5, vim...

I tried to update the tree, but I get the error:

hollyhock:bin wen6$ port sync

Can you help me so I can use MacPort?

#48165 obsolete-1.0: uses replaced_by without checking for it macports-tickets@… defect closed Normal

Reported by jbrinchmann@…, 2 months ago.

Description

I'm on Yosemite (10.10.3) and was trying to upgrade my MacPorts installation. I followed the instructions at wiki:Migration. For the sudo port clean all command I ran into an error:

I then ran the clean explicitly on all installed packages and that completed without problems.

When trying to run restore_ports.tcl, however, the result was a failure:

This was a bit too obscure an error for me.

#48164 port request: 'asciinema' macports-tickets@… request closed Normal

Reported by kurt.pfeifle@…, 2 months ago.

Description

The 'asciinema' utility is very handy for recording terminal key strokes and related output for later demonstration or teaching/sharing purposes.

The following command will start the recording of a terminal session (which can be ended by typing "exit" or hitting 'ctrl+D'):

asciinema rec -w 1 my.session

The -w 1 parameter will limit periods of non-activity to 1 second max. The next command will replay the same session:

asciinema play my.session

The software is Free (GPL3), with source code (written in Go and JavaScript) on GitHub:

https://github.com/asciinema/asciinema

The files it writes ('my.session' above) are Unicode text files, and can easily be edited after recording (f.e. to fix typos).

You can view one asciinema screencast which I made yesterday here:

#48145 castxml: add variants for different versions of clang toolchain, use corresponding toolchain for compilation stromnov@… defect new Normal

Reported by mmoll@…, 2 months ago.

Description

castxml needs to be compiled with clang 3.6 or higher. It also needs the full install of llvm that MacPorts provides (Xcode is not complete enough). The attached patch fixes compilation problems on older OSs and adds the option to use clang-3.7.

#48141 "port select" should link manpages macports-tickets@… enhancement closed Normal

Reported by cwbrune@…, 2 months ago.

Description

port select makes it easy for a user to manage multiple versions of a port. However, there is no symbolic link in /opt/local/share/man corresponding to that in /opt/local/bin. For example, after typing port select gcc mp-gcc49, the command gcc runs the selected version. However, man gcc says "No manual entry for gcc."

Selecting a version using port select should also make appropriate symbolic links so the manpage for the selected version is displayed when man <group> is given.

#48132 ChmodBPF startup item opendarwin.org@… enhancement new Normal

Reported by macports@…, 2 months ago.

Description

The wireshark port is missing the ChmodBPF startup item that allows an authorized user read access to the capture devices without having to run as root.

From the standalone installer’s description:

This installs a launch daemon (org.wireshark.ChmodBPF.plist) that changes the group permissions of each BPF device to allow access for the "access_bpf" group. It creates the "access_bpf" group if it doesn't exist and adds the current user to the group.

#48130 uhd @3.8.4: i386 build fails: error: integer constant is too large for ‘long’ type michaelld@… defect new Normal

Reported by ryandesign@…, 3 months ago.

Description

On a 32-bit iMac running Snow Leopard, uhd fails to build.

The uhd OS X installation instructions do warn that there is only limited support for 32-bit systems...

There is very little support for getting the background libraries and applications installed on Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier, for 32-bit installs, or for PowerPC based Macs, though any or all of these might be possible.

#48114 cccc @3.1.4 fails to build mww@… defect new Normal

Reported by schmieder.matthias@…, 3 months ago.

Description

Hi, just tried to install cccc an my MacBook Pro with Yosemite installed but it failed. The log output brings up the following error message

./cccc_tbl.cc:99:7: error: use of undeclared identifier 'erase'
    erase(value_iterator);
    ^
    this->

tracing the error down I found a missing scope in said function.

cccc_tbl.cpp:92

template<class T>
bool CCCC_Table<T>::remove(T* old_item_ptr)
{
  bool retval=false;
  typename map_t::iterator value_iterator=map_t::find(old_item_ptr->key());
  if(value_iterator!=map_t::end())
    {
      erase(value_iterator);
      retval=true;
    }
  return retval;
}

changing cccc_tbl.cpp:99 to

      map_t::erase(value_iterator);

fixed to problem.

I added to log file as well as a patch file to this ticket.

#48064 py27-astropy fails in build stage on G4 running Leopard 10.5.8 robitaille@… defect new Normal

Reported by zanderpower@…, 3 months ago.

Description

The error message is

:info:build ld: absolute addressing (perhaps -mdynamic-no-pic) used in _celini from /mp2/local/lib/libwcs.a(cel.o) not allowed in slidable image. Use '-read_only_relocs suppress' to enable text relocs
:info:build collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
:info:build error: command '/usr/bin/gcc-4.2' failed with exit status 1
:info:build Command failed:  cd "/mp2/local/var/macports/build/

However, it builds and installs without error if I comment out the line

--use-system-wcslib

in its Portfile.

I am fairly confident that this is related to the way I installed wcslib: as wcslib failed in the destroot phase, I added the line

configure.ldflags-append        "read_only_relocs suppress"

to _its_ Portfile. See ticket #48047.

Note that py27-astropy fails with the same error as wcslib did. I tried adding "read_only_relocs suppress" to py27-astropy's Portfile, but no luck.
