#48261 volk @2.3.3 command excecution failed michaelld@… defect Normal ports

Reported by fluzzygib@…, 25 hours ago.

Description

I'm trying to install GQRX on my MacBook Pro for using a software defined radio on my computer, yet it got held up at installing volk. It at first said I needed to install some other things which I went in and installed by typing sudo port install this that this that and that and I got down to all but 4 things that needed volk as well. I also made sure to install all of volk's dependencies. Now, I'm completely stopped. I've ran the clean stuff twice on volk and GQRX, tried to install again and got caught here.

Any help? This is what I get when I type the gqrx stuff now:

Dannys-MacBook-Pro:~ Dan$ sudo port install gqrx

#48244 Update opam version to 1.2.2 macports-tickets@… update Normal ports

Reported by gavinbeatty@…, 3 days ago.

Description

As noted in the 1.2.2 release blog post, http://opam.ocaml.org/blog/opam-1-2-2-release/, there is a fix for https://github.com/ocaml/opam/issues/2077 in 1.2.2 which is highly relevant to Mac.

As such, I'd like to upgrade the Macports version to 1.2.2 so that opam invocation times aren't so awful.

#48241 octave-stk @2.3.1_0: update to 2.3.2 macports-tickets@… update Normal ports

Reported by mschamschula@…, 3 days ago.

Description

octave-stk has been updated to version 2.3.2:

  • Bug fixes

o stk_param_estim.m: Fix a bug related to parameter objects. More precisely, use (:) indexing systematically to access the vector of numerical parameters corresponding to a given parameter object.

o @stk_kreq_qr/get.m: Fix a call to dot () to make it work when there is only one observation.

o Add missing field "Depends" to the DESCRIPTION file in the Octave package.

  • Minor changes

o stk_param_getdefaultbounds.m: Return empty lower and upper bounds for parameter classes that do not implement the stk_param_getdefaultbounds (instead of calling error).

o Add optional field "Autoload" to the DESCRIPTION file in the Octave package (This obsoletes the MacPorts DESCRIPTION patch) .

#48240 shibboleth @2.5.4_0 (with apache2) fails to create mod_shib_22.so snc@… defect Normal ports

Reported by friesen.4@…, 3 days ago.

Description

shibboleth port does not create mod_shib_22.so which is needed (I'm pretty sure) to work with Apache 2.2.29 which is the version installed with the apache2 port.

Completely fresh install of macports, with no other ports.

sudo port install apache2
sudo port install shibboleth
ls /opt/local/lib/shibboleth | grep mod_shib

gives only mod_shib_24.so with no mod_shib_22.so in sight.

#48175 tor @0.2.6.9_0: cannot verify SSL certificate from https://www.torproject.org macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by skoro.ru@…, 10 days ago.

Description

OSX 10.5.8 PPC

File tor-0.2.6.9_0.darwin_9.ppc.tbz2 cannot be fetched from any of the locations searched, thus the build fails. This also applies to tor @0.2.6.8.

#48174 Packages server: No space left on device admin@… defect Normal server/hosting

Reported by ryandesign@…, 11 days ago.

Description

The packages server (packages.macports.org) ran out of disk space while the Yosemite buildbot builder was trying to upload packages to it:

https://build.macports.org/builders/buildports-yosemite-x86_64/builds/4414/steps/deploy%20archives/logs/stdio

rsync: write failed on "/var/www/html/packages/clang-3.5/clang-3.5-3.5.2_5+analyzer+arm_runtime.darwin_14.x86_64.tbz2": No space left on device (28)

Packages accumulate over time as existing ports are updated and as new ports are added, so disk usage only increases.

Joshua wrote a script that deletes obsolete packages which should free up some space: browser:users/jmr/delete_old_archives/delete_old_archives.py

There is no automated process that runs this script regularly. Perhaps just running it manually now would help.

It would be good to proactively monitor disk usage on MacPorts servers, rather than let things grind to a halt when the disks get completely full.

#48167 llvm-3.3 @3.3_8 fails configuring macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by braumann@…, 11 days ago.

Description

Upgrading llvm-3.3 @3.3_7 to llvm-3.3 @3.3_8 fails since the configure script by mistake is not recognizing that python has an accepted version.

The relevant lines in the config.log:

...
configure:12343: checking for python
configure:12361: found /opt/local/bin/python
configure:12378: result: /opt/local/bin/python
configure:12388: checking for python >= 2.5
configure:12399: result: not found
configure:12402: error: found python  (/opt/local/bin/python); required >= 2.5
...

However, manually checking the version gives:

$ /opt/local/bin/python --version
Python 3.4.3

BTW, llvm-3.4 was smoothly upgrading to llvm-3.4 @3.4.2_7 a minute before.

#48166 ghostscript-fonts-hiragino@9.10 Update to 9.16 macports-tickets@… update Normal ports

Reported by kobayos@…, 11 days ago.

Description

Japanese characters are not displayed correctly in ghostscript@9.16 with ghostscriot-fonts-higragino@9.10. Although ghostscript-fonts-hiragino@9.10 writes the resources in /opt/local/share/ghostscript/9.10, the directory is not referred by ghostscript 9.16.

It seems that the resources are correctly written in appropriate locations only by changing the version field from "9.10" to "9.16" in the port file.

Please find the attached patch to the port file.

#48165 obsolete-1.0: uses replaced_by without checking for it macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by jbrinchmann@…, 12 days ago.

Description

I'm on Yosemite (10.10.3) and was trying to upgrade my MacPorts installation. I followed the instructions at wiki:Migration. For the sudo port clean all command I ran into an error:

--->  Cleaning capstone
Error: Unable to open port: can't read "replaced_by": no such variable

I then ran the clean explicitly on all installed packages and that completed without problems.

When trying to run restore_ports.tcl, however, the result was a failure:

This was a bit too obscure an error for me.

#48164 port request: 'asciinema' macports-tickets@… request Normal ports

Reported by kurt.pfeifle@…, 12 days ago.

Description

The 'asciinema' utility is very handy for recording terminal key strokes and related output for later demonstration or teaching/sharing purposes.

The following command will start the recording of a terminal session (which can be ended by typing "exit" or hitting 'ctrl+D'):

asciinema rec -w 1 my.session

The -w 1 parameter will limit periods of non-activity to 1 second max. The next command will replay the same session:

asciinema play my.session

The software is Free (GPL3), with source code (written in Go and JavaScript) on GitHub:

https://github.com/asciinema/asciinema

The files it writes ('my.session' above) are Unicode text files, and can easily be edited after recording (f.e. to fix typos).

You can view one asciinema screencast which I made yesterday here:

#48154 gsl @1.16_3: portfile references a nonexistent compilers.setup option larryv@… defect Normal ports

Description

I was asked to open a new ticket after today posting to ticket #47755.

Here's what I said:

I would like to report that I can no longer launch wxmaxima directly. It'll launch if I use "open /path/to/wxmaxima.app," though not just by inputting "wxmaxima" as with other ports. Inputting "maxima" works just fine. Why might this be? I figure it has something to do with the removal of the above symlink and I know for a fact that "/Applications/MacPorts/" was never part of my PATH variable. Even so, I did try, in succession, adding "/Applications/MacPorts/" and "/Applications/MacPorts/wxMaxima.app" to my PATH and still it would not launch with "wxmaxima."

Here's some other stuff I tried. I "sudo port selfupdate" and "sudo port upgrade outdated". I did it once more just to be sure. Unfortunately, the problem persists.

Initially, I also had a problem with wxmaxima not being able to connect to maxima. This was resolved by making sure that wxMaxima was listening to the default port of xmaxima. Or, at least I think that's what did it. Actually, I just played around with the port option and apparently it still works, so...mystery. It connects so whatever.

I thought briefly about nuking my Macports installation, but that seems like overkill as it seems that the problem is just with maxima. Honestly, I'm so confused. There's also xmaxima -- where does that fit it in??

To sum up, what might explain the inability to launch wxmaxima from command line?

Here's my PATH:

PATH=/opt/local/bin:/opt/local/sbin:/opt/local/etc/php56:/opt/local/apache2/bin:/opt/local/lib/mysql56/bin:~/bin:~/.composer/vendor/bin:${PATH}

Thanks!

#48150 hdf5 @1.8.15-patch1: unsupported variant combinations to be handled smoothly mmoll@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by petr@…, 13 days ago.

Description

The following combination of variants is not handled smoothly:

+cxx +fortran +gcc{5,6} +openmpi +szip

I'd propose that either the missing dependencies (openmpi-gcc{5,6}) are added, or that the hdf5 port handles this combination explicitly.

#48141 "port select" should link manpages macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by cwbrune@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

port select makes it easy for a user to manage multiple versions of a port. However, there is no symbolic link in /opt/local/share/man corresponding to that in /opt/local/bin. For example, after typing port select gcc mp-gcc49, the command gcc runs the selected version. However, man gcc says "No manual entry for gcc."

Selecting a version using port select should also make appropriate symbolic links so the manpage for the selected version is displayed when man <group> is given.

#48138 octave-io @2.2.7_0: update to 2.2.8 macports-tickets@… update Normal ports

Reported by mschamschula@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

octave-io has been updated to version 2.2.8:

Bug fixes:

  • xlsread: properly fall back to dlmread when reading .csv files (don't bother with COM (Excel) or UNO (LibreOffice) interfaces)
  • private/__COM_spsh_open__.m: use entire given pathname to convert to full path, not just filename proper
  • Same for private/__UNO_spsh_open__.m
  • xlsread.m/xls2oct.m using OCT interface: fix wrong worksheet reference

This will be (one of) the last io package release(s) before the spreadsheet I/O is moved into core Octave, so this version will only install in Octave < 4.2.x (override using the -nodeps option with pkg.m)

Also replaced nomaintainer with openmaintainer (an oversight in the previous release).

#48137 octave-stk @2.2.0_0: update to 2.3.1 macports-tickets@… update Normal ports

Reported by mschamschula@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

octave-stk has been updated to version 2.3.1:

Bug fixes

  • stk_optim_hasfmincon.m: Detect fmincon by trying to use it, instead of relying on the result of the exist function.
  • stk_param_estim.m: Make sure that the bounds that we use for the lnv parameter contain the starting point lnv0 when it is provided.
  • @stk_dataframe/set.m: Fix stk_error calls (missing mnemonic).
  • stk_distrib_bivnorm_cdf.m: Fix a bug in the case of mixtures of singular and non-singular cases.
  • @stk_dataframe/subsasgn.m: Preserve column names when deleting rows, even if the resulting array is empty.

Minor changes

  • stk_init.m: Clear persistent variables. As a consequence, stk_init can now be used to restart STK completely.
  • stk_commonsize.m: Accept empty dimensions, under the condition that all input arguments have the same empty dimensions (in which case the result is empty).
  • stk_commonsize.m: is now faster when some arguments already have the proper size (unnecessary calls to repmat are avoided).
  • stk_distrib_normal_cdf.m, stk_distrib_bivnorm_cdf.m: are now slightly faster (unnecessary calls to stk_commonsize are avoided).

Hopefully, this update also obsoletes #47478 regarding the installation issues. See http://octave.1599824.n4.nabble.com/On-the-use-of-PKG-ADD-PKG-DEL-directives-in-the-stk-package-td4671049.html

I have cleaned and uninstalled and installed the port digikam for several times but the build of digikam was not possible.

It would be fine if you could give me a hint how to succeed in building digikam.

Thank you.
