#47286 port lufs macports-tickets@… request Normal ports

Reported by pengyu.ut@…, 15 hours ago.

Description

This sounds to be a good piece of software. But I am not sure if it is specific to linux. If not, it would be better to port it to MacPorts.

#47283 Backslashes in file names in destroot cause activate to fail macports-tickets@… defect Normal MacPorts Future base

Reported by jpo@…, 20 hours ago.

Description

Seems like a simple enough fix for anyone who is familiar with TCL and the base plumbing. I'm not unfortunately.

Consider the following:

PortSystem 1.0
name backslash-test
version 1
categories devel
platforms darwin
description tests backslashes in filenames for the activate target

fetch               {}

use_configure no
build               {}
destroot {
    touch "${destroot}${prefix}/share/back\\slash"
}

Which produces the following results

$ sudo port destroot backslash-test

#47278 Remove dependency on perl5.16 from texinfo macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal ports

#47277 eigen3: The source directory does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt eborisch@… defect Normal ports

Reported by sk-public@…, 32 hours ago.

Description

eigen3 doesn't build, apparently because a bunch of options and the configuration directory are appended after the source directory (../eigen_src).

It builds again if

configure.args-append ../eigen_src

is changed to

configure.post_args ../eigen_src

But I'm not familiar enough with the macports build process (including this cmake out-of-source transition, which looks related) to tell if this is a coincidence or a solution.

The error is:
CMake Error: The source directory "/opt/macports/var/macports/build/_opt_macports_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_math_eigen3/eigen3/work/3.2.4" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt. Searching the web it appears that the garbage collection in Cocoa has been removed by Apple. If the app isn't using it, then the link flag '-fobjc-gc' can be removed to build. I don't know if LaTeXiT does or doesn't use garbage collection, but it does use that flag.

#47240 py27-numpy fails to run macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Description

I recently upgraded to 10.10, following the full migration instructions. py27-numpy was installed as a dependent of something else. It used to work fine in 10.9, but now that I have reinstalled, I get an error when I try to import numpy:

This looks a lot like this old ticket, that had been closed: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/28346

numpy is installed with the universal variant (I presume because whatever needed it was universal) but the muliarray.so library is i386 according to lipo. But, on 10.9 both python27 and py27-numpy were both installed +universal and worked fine.

#47238 hdhomerun_gui: untangle GTK support ctreleaven@… defect Normal ports

Reported by ctreleaven@…, 5 days ago.

Description

This report is a reminder for myself about work needed...

The 20121210 release of hdhomerun_gui changes the build on Darwin. It assumes that GTK will be built with Quartz support. I attempted to build gtk thus so but failed a couple of times. Right now, I don't have time to track down the right incantations.

The alternatives seem to be: 1) Patch out the Darwin/gtk-quartz stuff as the MacPorts default is +X11. Pro: consistent with other gtk-based ports. 2) Go whole-hog--work out how to build with gtk-quartz but add variant (likely default) to build with X11 support. Seems overkill for a port that apparently has few users.

Attached patch is incomplete--fetches, extracts and patches 20141210 version but configure fails. Hard parts yet to do...

Reported by atlanx@…, 6 days ago.

Description

When i start Pallet the first time it is asking for an Tcl path.

The message says it is by defaul in /Library/Tcl.

And - yes - when i look in /Library/Tcl there is a file called "macports1.0" which looks like a link to somewhere else.

Ok, then i try to fill this in /Library/Tcl by selecting the folder.

Then a message pops up :

'You selected an invalid directory

You have to use the directory where macports1.0 was installed by MacPorts.

Generally it should be /Library/Tcl'

.....

??? What it want from me? This sounds not logic for me.

Is there a way to either patch mongodb in a way, that it will compile on Snow Leopard or a way to exclude the mongodb 3.0.x from the list of updates which are available for Snow Leopard?

When I run "port upgrade outdated" then this is what happens:

    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_databases_mongodb/mongodb/main.log

There is no pre-compiled version of mongodb 3.0.x for darwin 10, so I think, that then MacPorts tries to download the source and compile it locally, what always results in a failure.

#47155 djview @4.10 Update to new version nicos@… update Normal ports

Reported by s@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

I'm attaching a diff to the Portfile and two new patch files to update djview to version 4.10.

The current version contains a workaround for a bug in qmake (see r73290 for the same workaround in another port) where an extra -arch flag gets passed to the linker which breaks the link. The workaround removes the flag post-configure. In 4.10, the file that needs the workaround is Makefile.qmake which isn't built until make is invoked. One of the patch files patches Makefile.am (and Makefile.in) to modify the rule that creates Makefile.qmake to delete the extra -arch.

The other patch file fixes the invocation of $(MAKE) -f Makefile.qmake djview which fails on OS X because Makefile.qmake does not have a djview target. The default target in Makefile.qmake works just as well, so we use that.

The second patch should be upstreamed (which I'll do shortly). The qmake bug should really be fixed and the first patch deleted, but I don't have time to investigate qmake.

Reported by davide.liessi@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

Using the python PortGroup is unnecessary here, and it is probably also undesirable, since the PortGroup sets a lot of unused values and defines subports that are going to be redefined.

This shouldn't require a revision bump: this port is not going to be installed anyway.

I'm abusing the 'maintainer' keyword, but after all I was the maintainer of this port until 2 days ago... :)

#47095 GQRX mdmg build fails michaelld@… defect Normal ports

Reported by macports@…, 3 weeks ago.

Description

I'm trying to build an mdmg package of GQRX to install on a different OSX box.

Everything seems to build ok, but the issue is in constructing the final package. It seems a file is missing.

The command I give is :

sudo port mdmg gqrx +xquartz

It fails after a while with this in the error log:

:info:pkg cp: /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_science_gqrx/gqrx/work/gqrx-20150307-component.pkg: No such file or directory

    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_science_gqrx/gqrx/main.log

The file gqrx-20150307-component.pkg isn't created anywhere. Copying gqrx-20150307.pkg to gqrx-20150307-component.pkg fails with an error relating to bundles, so I'm guessing it's not the right answer.

I've cleaned GQRX prior to building, I've gone in and wiped out the build directory too, but I still eventually get the same error.

Any ideas?

#47094 mongodb: Update to 3.0.0 ryandesign@… update Normal ports

Reported by mark@…, 3 weeks ago.

Description

The latest 3.0 has been released. It's considered a drop-in replacement, and in general looks to be less work than from 2.4 to 2.6 - http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/release-notes/3.0-upgrade/

Tis might also be a good time to look at ticket #45803 about starting up with a config file instead of hard-coded command line parameters. That would allow users to use the new WiredTiger engine and other improvements.

#47093 python34 @3.4.3: Fetch failed during update jwa@… defect Normal ports

Reported by radaroutthere@…, 3 weeks ago.

Description

After a recent changeset - changeset:133743/trunk/dports/lang/python34/Portfile - updating python34 fails.

It attempts to fetch patch-Lib-ctypes-macholib-dyld.py.diff from each of the mirror sites, ultimately saying -

Error: org.macports.fetch for port python34 returned: fetch failed

I imagine this is a fairly simple problem. Thanks for reading

#47092 libtasn1 @4.2_0: update to 4.3 larryv@… update Normal ports

#47091 openssl header, library versions inconsistent macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by urilabob@…, 3 weeks ago.

Description

According to macports, all ports are currently up-to-date. Running the configure file for nxssh, I get:

./configure --includedir=/opt/local/include/openssl --with-ssl-dir=/opt/local/bin/openssl
.
.
.
checking OpenSSL header version... 9081af (OpenSSL 0.9.8za 5 Jun 2014)
checking OpenSSL library version... 9081cf (OpenSSL 0.9.8zc 15 Oct 2014)
checking whether OpenSSL's headers match the library... no
configure: error: Your OpenSSL headers do not match your
library. Check config.log for details.

The error message seems to be correct (the versions really do not match). I apologise if it's a mis-configuration or misunderstanding on my part. Could someone check, and if necessary update the headers in the port? I could run configure with --without-openssl-header-check, but without deeper knowledge than I have, that seems dangerous.
