#47578 mkvtoolnix: upgrade to 7.8.0 ryandesign@… update Normal ports

Reported by mojca@…, 20 hours ago.

Description

I'm attaching a patch for upgrading mkvtoolnix to 7.8.0. I would appreciate if someone on 10.9 or later could test it. (We should probably replace the ruby patches with some reinplace.)

I wasn't even able to build it with gcc because of

In file included from src/common/utf8_codecvt_facet.cpp:22:0:
src/common/../../lib/boost/utf8_codecvt_facet/utf8_codecvt_facet.cpp:174:5: error: 'int mtx::utf8_codecvt_facet::do_length' is not a static member of 'struct mtx::utf8_codecvt_facet'
     BOOST_CODECVT_DO_LENGTH_CONST std::mbstate_t &,
     ^
compilation terminated due to -Wfatal-errors.

I'll try a libc++ MP installation next.

Please also see #40231. It's not entirely clear to me what's still needed to close that ticket (migrating libstdc++ users to libc++ or building against a different instance of boost and icu is a different issue from fixing clang build issues per se).

#47576 curl-ca-bundle @7.42.0_0 unable to get local issuer certificate macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by and.damore@…, 31 hours ago.

Description

Mozilla dropped some 1024 bits keys, as result curl-ca-bundle cannot be used anymore to establish connection to servers using those keys in their chain. For instance *thawte Primary Root CA* broke

depth=2 C = US, O = "thawte, Inc.", OU = Certification Services Division, OU = "(c) 2006 thawte, Inc. - For authorized use only", CN = thawte Primary Root CA
verify error:num=20:unable to get local issuer certificate

This is planned on upstream side and not an actual error. A solution for an OS X user is to switch to certsync port in place of curl-ca-bundle.

This ticket is here as reference for users searching for the error they see while using curl or openssl's s_client.

Should I report this upstream? Meanwhile, is it possible to add an explicit dependency on gtk2 +x11?

#47562 MacPorts - nano - lost compiler option --enable-nanorc macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by vitorg@…, 4 days ago.

Description

I've found that port for nano has no compiler option "--enable-nanorc". The problem is that nano can't use it's configuration files /etc/nanorc and ~/.nanorc without this option.

The funny thing is that port contains note "A sample configuration file is available at /opt/local/share/doc/nano/nanorc.sample." - but it useless as long as nano compiled without nanorc support.

Please add --enable-nanorc to port's configure.args or create additional variant for port with nanorc support. Thanks.

There doesn't seem to be a way of saying that the rdm_tests variant depends on OneOf(python26, python27), so I went with python27 .

#47547 root6 : Update to 6.03.04 ryandesign@… update Normal ports

Reported by jonesc@…, 5 days ago.

Description

Hi,

Updates ROOT6 to the latest official release.

Adds a new options to use clang 3.7 as the compiler.

I also updated the compiler whitelist to add clang 3.6 as an option, and also to list the compilers such that the most up to date compatible compiler will be used.

I believe the patch to fix an issue with the internal LLVM version is still required, as upstream ROOT have not yet updated the version they are using (the issue is fixed in more recent LLVM tags than the one they currently use...).

cheers Chris

#47545 libtool @2.4.6_0 does not build with Tiger's M4 larryv@… defect Normal ports

Reported by csanchezdll@…, 5 days ago.

Description

libtool @2.4.6 requires m4 1.4.6 or higher (1.4.16 or higher recommended) but m4 version included with Tiger is 1.4.2. I think it would be better to include a dependency with m4 port instead of just checking for a present m4 binary.

#47538 lmdbxx: new port ryandesign@… submission Normal ports

Reported by arto@…, 6 days ago.

Description

This port provides a C++ interface for the existing 'lmdb' port. As a header-only library downloaded from SourceForge, it has a straightforward Portfile and installs a single file:

Port lmdbxx contains:
  /opt/local/include/lmdb++.h

The upstream versioning policy tracks 'lmdb' versions.

#47527 octave-symbolic @2.1.0_0: update to 2.2.0 macports-tickets@… update Normal ports

Reported by mschamschula@…, 7 days ago.

Description

octave-symbolic has been updated to version 2.2.0:

 * New commands:

          catalan
          eulergamma
          lambertw

  * Installing symbolic package now check for Python and minimum
version of SymPy (thanks Carnë Draug for autoconf).
  * Installations from Octave-Forge ("pkg install -forge symbolic")
should now work on Windows (thanks vassbu). You will need the
Python and SymPy dependencies. Or you can use the [bundled
    package](https://github.com/cbm755/octsympy/releases)
  * Added support for Python 3 (still works with Python 2 as well).
  * Documentation improvements especially to assumptions. Examples
within documentation can now be tested with doctests, see the
    `octsympy_doctests.m` function.
  * Other bug fixes: assumptions; symvar and symbolic matrix powers;
    various display issues.

#47500 git-flow-devel @15aab26490facf285acef56cb5d61025eacb3a69: should not use the commit id as version number ionic@… defect Normal ports

Reported by davide.liessi@…, 9 days ago.

Description

Version comparison (e.g. port outdated) is confused by commit ids used as version numbers: the next commit id could be less than the current, in lexicographic order. Using the date of the commit in AAAAMMDD format like e.g. in ffmpeg-devel, frescobaldi-devel, gccxml-devel, ensures that version comparison works as expected.

(An update in git-flow-devel is unlikey, given that it hasn't changed since 2012, but I think that it is important to fix this, because you never know.)

#47497 emacs-app @24.5 - Icon and [Emacs]/[About Emacs] Not Present macports-tickets@… defect Low ports

Reported by iqgrande@…, 10 days ago.

Description

Greetings:

I just updated emacs-app to 24.5 and noticed that the icon is not present on the Dock or within the /Applications/MacPorts/Emacs.app installation. After going into Emacs I also clicked on the [Emacs] menu item and then clicked on [About Emacs] and nothing came up whereI was pretty sure the older version had a dialog pop up. These aren't critical things but it makes me wonder if other Cocoa-centric things were not properly enabled. I am running the latest Apple OS X (10.10.3), MacPorts (2.3.3), and Xcode (6.3). These issues might also be upstream. Thank you for any assistance you can provide with this.

Kind regards, Anthony

#47477 ROOT6 : Fix for Xcode 6.3 mojca@… update Normal ports

Reported by jonesc@…, 12 days ago.

Description

Hi,

Fixes the issue ROOT6 has with Xcode 6, but updating to a git tag that includes an upstream fix.

To indicate this update is somewhere between 6.03.02 and any future upstream update, I have named it 6.03.02.91.

Also adds support for clang 3.6 as a compiler option.

#47469 sl: incorrect version 1.0.0 lists@… update Low ports

Reported by imgoodproductions@…, 13 days ago.

Description

The current version of sl matches the behavior of sl 2.00, not the declared 1.0.0 version of the port. Additionally, the upstream is now at version 5.02. At the least, can it be updated to the latest upstream version?

See: https://github.com/mtoyoda/sl/blob/master/sl.c

#47461 Shogun installation failed macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by mariano.avino@…, 13 days ago.

Description

Hi there. I am quite new in computer science. I am trying to instal shogun on Mac. I have tried in two ways and both failed. In the first one I did it from Source but when I configure it it fails telling that: Checking for SWIG ... 3.0.5 ... too old version 1.3.29 or later required

Error: swig outdated

Then I tried to install it through: sudo port install shogun and the attached file saying that it failed again.

Could you please help me. Thanks a lot in advance.

#47445 rpm54: fails patch phase in trace mode n3npq@… defect Normal ports

Reported by ionic@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

rpm54 is currently changing files in post-patch via reinplace (OK) and also running glibtoolize.

glibtoolize is not available in the phases fetch, extract or patch.

In any case, the glibtoolize call should really be part of pre-configure, where glibtoolize will be available. That's also semantically the proper way to regenerate stuff prior to configure.

The (soon) attached trivial patch fixes that problem.

#47432 libpng version error ryandesign@… defect Normal ports

Reported by murat@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description
sudo port install libpng

should install latest libpng (1.6.17 as of this writing), and after install,

port installed

does report that libpng 1.6.17 is installed.

However an examination of /opt/local/lib shows that libpng 1.6.16 is in actually installed.

#47430 webkit-gtk, webkit-gtk3 @2.4.8 +video ambiguous reference error: Build fails devans@… defect Normal ports

Reported by p.bro@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

webkit-gtk @2.4.8 +quartz +video fails to build on a new install of Yosemite 10.10.3 (iMac), XCode Version 6.3 (6D570). This failure happened first as part of a restore_ports.tcl run, where I used restore_ports.tcl to restore the port list from my previous machine (where webkit_gtk was installed with the same options when it was still running 10.10.2). The logs were obtained after cleaning and attempting to install the package manually.

The error seems to be an ambiguous reference in Source/WebCore/platform/graphics/gstreamer/WebKitWebSourceGStreamer.cpp (but do have a look at the attached log).

#47428 Configure error installing lal ram@… defect Normal ports

Reported by f.jimenez@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

Hi all,

I'm getting this error when I try to install the lalapps app. via port. I've already installed python version 2.7, but something is wrong with python2.7 binary file that is saved in this path:

/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/bin/python2.7 (my /opt/local/bin/python2.7 points to this file)

I'm pretty sure that I somehow broke the python2.7 installation but I do not know now how to recover it. This is the error that appears in main.log. I have also attached this file.

:info:configure checking whether /opt/local/bin/python2.7 version is >= 2.6... no :info:configure configure: error: Python interpreter is too old.

Thanks a lot Xisco

Reported by mschamschula@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

Reported by pop2.mp@…, 2 weeks ago.

Description

it stops when building db48. It seems that the docdir variable isn't set correctly:

I don't know where the trailing } comes from.

#47410 gcc48 @4.8.4_0, gcc49 @4.9.2_1: bootstrap comparison fails with clang-602.0.49 from Xcode 6.3 larryv@… defect Normal ports

Reported by howarth.at.macports@…, 3 weeks ago.

Description

The new Xcode 6.3's clang 6.1 (3.6.0svn) compilers break the bootstrap of FSF gcc 4.9.2 and gcc 4.9.3svn due to configure leaving BUILD_CONFIG unset.

https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=65733
https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=23192

This same issue occurs when the llvm 3.5.1, 3.5.2 or 3.6.0 compilers are used to bootstrap gcc. The current workaround is to explicitly pass --with-build-config=bootstrap-debug to configure when the newer clang compilers are in use.
