#19517 New port: fmt-ptrn macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

New is a template system, especially useful in conjunction with a simple text editor such as vi. The user maintains templates which may contain format strings. At run time, nf replaces the format strings in a template with appropriate values to create a new file.

For example, given the following template:

FILE: %(FILE) AUTHOR: %(FULLNAME) DATE: %(DATE)

Copyright (C) 1999 %(FULLNAME) %(EMAIL) All rights reserved.

nf will create:

FILE: foo.cpp AUTHOR: W. Michael Petullo DATE: 11 September 1999

Copyright (C) 1999 W. Michael Petullo new@… All rights reserved.

on my computer.

The program understands plaintext or gziped template files.

The fmt-ptrn system also provides a shared library which allows a programmer access to nf's functionality. The system was developed to be light and fast. Its only external dependencies are the C library, glib2 and zlib.

#19020 New port for aiccu IPv6 configuration utility raimue@… submission Normal ports
Description

SixXS.net is a european IPv6 tunnel broker and aiccu is their automatic setup utility for easy configuration. It supports several tunneling protocols for static and dynamic tunnels as well as NAT traversal (AYIYA). The service is free, you only need to sign up and request a tunnel.

I have written a Portfile and patch for their Makefile that I think will ease compilation and use of the utility for other users, too. Please note that I am not affiliated with SixXS, just one of their users.

aiccu is not GPL'd software and I am unsure if this poses a problem, but their license IMHO permits use in MacPorts. It's basically a "do what you want as long as you keep our copyright notice intact and do not promote your product with our name" model:

The SixXS License - http://www.sixxs.net/

#23777 new port for clamav-server macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

I use clamav for scanning emails before delivery. The clamav port does not set up clamav as a service so I am adding this port. It's just a couple launchd plists and some config messages. I didn't use daemondo because I can't figure out how to make two startup items using port. On my system I have my file locations in places that would not make sense for macports so I tried to create config suggestions that are basic and will work. It's possible I missed something but I figure this give the next person a head start.

Description

This is a new port for drush, the DRUpal SHell which can be used with Drupal. I've added in a dependency for Drupal, since drush isn't very useful without it. It isn't a pure dependency, though, so there's a nodrupal variant as well.

#13999 New Port For Eclipse-ecj 3.2 macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

It would be nice to have a the Eclipse ecj added to the ports system. I have done some work on getting this to work, but it is missing a few things.

  • the build file is missing. The compiler is compiled using ant so the build.xml is missing. I have one, but I don't know how to add it as a patch file.
  • the Portfile is probably missing key things and not filled in correctly. I used xalanj as an example
#43087 New port for ffe (flat file extractor) ryandesign@… submission Normal ports

#16992 new port for libpqxx 3.0.0 macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

This is new port for libpqxx 3.0.0.

This version is still in a release stage. It will build and install on my system against postgresql83, so it may be good to go.

I've tried to incorporate a low level of tests into this port (similar tests should be worked into libpqxx26). As I'm ignorant of how the testing works within macports, the last 1/2 of this Portfile may be wrong. Where can I find more info on this? I need some tips on how to "debug" this test phase. It's more complicated than usual because this test requires setup of a new, temporary postgresql database and some environment variables to enable easy access to it (I've tried to put this into pre-test and post-test phases, if that's possible). Any help appreciated!

Thanks, Darren

PS, I need an explanation of how to use my commit rights for macports.

#32608 New port for miniDLNA ryandesign@… submission Normal ports
Description

I created this port mainly for personal use, so consider it as a draft open for further improvement. I had to use cvs because latest stable doesn't include recent updates that makes it easily compile on mac (they added autoconf/automake support and other fixes).

The little patching needed to compile with clang is because inline keyword is interpreted differently from gcc (clang use C99 while gcc GNU89): http://clang.llvm.org/compatibility.html#inline I submitted my proposed fix (simply remove inline keyword) to the developer.

Description

Python 3.5 is now in alpha so people might want to start testing their code against it. I have created a port for it based very heavily on the Python 3.4 port. The only real challenge is the naming convention for the alpha.

#16814 new port for ruby-pg (which could be called from rb-dbi) macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports

I don't have the expertise with ruby macports to say that this will work, but it's a quick attempt to get ruby DBI working with postgresql83. See the other ticket on this here:

I hope that another maintainer with more ruby experience can make this work. I don't have experience and time to get it all done.

#43080 New port for SeqAn applications macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

Hi,

I would like to add a new port named seqan-apps. As I mentioned in #43072 this is a separation of the applications that were part of the former seqan port. The port now downloads pre-built binaries from our servers for i686 and x86_64 darwin platforms which saves build time and user build requirements (took >30min and >4GB RAM).

Thanks in advance, David

#27335 new port GeoLiteCountry pixilla@… submission Normal ports
Description

This port adds the GeoIP.dat data files to libgeoip. This conflicts with libgeoip since libgeoip also installs GeoIP.dat.

I am suggesting this port as a replacement for the GeoIP.dat installed by libgeoip so that the database file (.dat) can up upgraded without requiring libgeoip to be upgraded or rev bumped.

#38801 new port: grid-packaging-tools ram@… submission Normal ports
Description

The Globus Toolkit software makes use of GPT (grid-packaging-tools) for building and packaging. I've created ports for many of the Globus Toolkit components, but as a first attempt I submit this one for general review; it has no dependencies outside of what's in macports already.

Description

GPT is a collection of packaging tools built around an XML based packaging data format. This format provides a straight forward way to define complex dependency and compatibility relationships between packages. The tools provide a means for developers to easily define the packaging data and include it as part of their source code distribution. Binary packages can be automatically generated from this data. The packages defined by GPT are compatible with other packages and can be easily converted.

On my way to fixing another bug, I've had to introduce a new(?) port, gtk-mac-integration. The reason why I'm hesitant to call it a new port is because it seems like an upgrade of the gtk-osx-application port. #17114 New Port: HAProxy macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

I like using HA Proxy and decided to write my first portfile for it.

However, I need some help on the portfile.

I've tried building it two ways:

  1. make -f Makefile.osx
  2. make TARGET=osx

Here's the build log from make -f Makefile.osx http://pastie.org/309129

And here's the build log from make TARGET=osx http://pastie.org/309138

The two builds do not output the same text when the user types haproxy -v Build #1

sam@sam.local(master)> haproxy -v
HA-Proxy version
Copyright 2000-2008 Willy Tarreau <w@1wt.eu>

Build #2

sam@sam.local(master)> haproxy -v
HA-Proxy version 1.3.15.6 2008/11/04
Copyright 2000-2008 Willy Tarreau <w@1wt.eu>

By looking at the build log I can see that build #2 sets the correct date. -DCONFIG_HAPROXY_VERSION=\"1.3.15.6\" -DCONFIG_HAPROXY_DATE=\"2008/11/04\"

Would I need to make a patch to Makefile.osx, or possibly use the macports reinplace function to get the correct output?

Any guidance would be much appreciated, and thank you Willy for some great software!

#44861 New port: hatools 2.14 ryandesign@… submission Normal ports

cronjobs to run simultanously. halockrun's implementation makes it very resilient to all kind of stale locks.

hatimerun provides a time-out mechanism that can be used from shell scripts. hatimerun can set multiple
actions--signals to be sent--on multiple timeouts.
