This is a new portfile to allow installation of the p5-Palm modules from CPAN:

Thanks!

#17281 New port: pam-krb5 macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

The pam-krb5 allows applications to authenticate against a Kerberos server. For example, ssh may accept a username and password and then authenticate the user against a Kerberos server instead of /etc/passwd. This is very useful when paired with an LDAP-based NSS system.

Note that the Mac OS X graphical login supports Kerberos out of the box. However, other services, such as ssh, authenticate using PAM and require pam-krb5.

This port links /opt/local/lib/pam/pam-krb5 to /usr/lib/pam/pam-krb5, because this is when the Mac OS X PAM system expects to find its modules.

Description

Exception::Class allows you to declare exception hierarchies in your modules in a "Java-esque" manner.

#2942 New port, perl/p5-cache-cache macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

The Cache modules are designed to assist a developer in persisting data for a specified period of time. Often these modules are used in web applications to store data locally to save repeated and redundant expensive calls to remote machines or databases. People have also been known to use Cache::Cache for its straightforward interface in sharing data between runs of an application or invocations of a CGI-style script or simply as an easy to use abstraction of the filesystem or shared memory.

#2958 new port, perl/p5-class-accessor macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

This module automagically generates accessor/mutators for your class. Most of the time, writing accessors is an exercise in cutting and pasting.

#2946 new port, perl/p5-class-container macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

This class facilitates building frameworks of several classes that inter-operate. It was first designed and built for HTML::Mason, in which the Compiler, Lexer, Interpreter, Resolver, Component, Buffer, and several other objects must create each other transparently, passing the appropriate parameters to the right class, possibly substituting other subclasses for any of these objects.

#2944 New port, perl/p5-class-data-inheritable macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Class::Data::Inheritable is for creating accessor/mutators to class data. That is, if you want to store something about your class as a whole (instead of about a single object). This data is then inherited by your subclasses and can be overriden.

#2965 new port, perl/p5-class-dbi macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Class::DBI provides a convenient abstraction layer to a database. It not only provides a simple database to object mapping layer, but can be used to implement several higher order database functions (triggers, referential integrity, cascading delete etc.), at the application level, rather than at the database.

Description

This module exports a method that is useful for factory classes.

#2934 new port, perl/p5-class-singleton macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

This is the Class::Singleton module. A Singleton describes an object class that can have only one instance in any system. An example of a Singleton might be a print spooler or system registry. This module implements a Singleton class from which other classes can be derived. By itself, the Class::Singleton module does very little other than manage the instantiation of a single object. In deriving a class from Class::Singleton, your module will inherit the Singleton instantiation method and can implement whatever specific functionality is required.

#2959 new port, perl/p5-class-trigger macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Class::Trigger is a mixin class to add / call triggers (or hooks) that get called at some points you specify.

#2962 new port, perl/p5-class-whitehole macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Its possible to accidentally inherit an AUTOLOAD method. Often this will happen if a class somewhere in the chain uses AutoLoader or defines one of their own. This can lead to confusing error messages when method lookups fail.

#2936 new port, perl/p5-datetime macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

DateTime is a class for the representation of date/time combinations, and is part of the Perl DateTime project. For details on this project please see http://datetime.perl.org/

#2939 new port, perl/p5-datetime-format-builder macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

DateTime::Format::Builder creates DateTime parsers. Many string formats of dates and times are simple and just require a basic regular expression to extract the relevant information. Builder provides a simple way to do this without writing reams of structural code.

#2940 new port, perl/p5-datetime-format-iso8601 macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Parses almost all ISO8601 date and time formats. ISO8601 time-intervals will be supported in a later release.

It can be used to parse these formats in order to create DateTime or DateTime::Duration objects, and it can take a DateTime or DateTime::Duration object and produce a string representing it in a format accepted by PostgreSQL.

#2937 new port, perl/p5-datetime-format-strptime macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

This module implements most of strptime(3), the POSIX function that is the reverse of strftime(3), for DateTime. While strftime takes a DateTime and a pattern and returns a string, strptime takes a string and a pattern and returns the DateTime object associated.

#2935 new port, perl/p5-datetime-timezone macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

This class is the base class for all time zone objects. A time zone is represented internally as a set of observances, each of which describes the offset from GMT for a given time period.

#2963 new port, perl/p5-dbix-contextualfetch macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

It always struck me odd that DBI didn't take much advantage of Perl's context sensitivity. DBIx::ContextualFetch redefines some of the various fetch methods to fix this oversight. It also adds a few new methods for convenience (though not necessarily efficiency).

#2943 New port, perl/p5-devel-stacktrace macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

#2964 new port, perl/p5-ima-dbi macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

It always struck me odd that DBI didn't take much advantage of Perl's context sensitivity. DBIx::ContextualFetch redefines some of the various fetch methods to fix this oversight. It also adds a few new methods for convenience (though not necessarily efficiency).

Description

The Params::Validate module allows you to validate method or function call parameters to an arbitrary level of specificity. At the simplest level, it is capable of validating the required parameters were given and that no unspecified additional parameters were passed in. It is also capable of determining that a parameter is of a specific type, that it is an object of a certain class hierarchy, that it possesses certain methods, or applying validation callbacks to arguments.

#2966 new port, perl/p5-sql-abstract macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

This module was inspired by the excellent DBIx::Abstract. However, in using that module I found that what I really wanted to do was generate SQL, but still retain complete control over my statement handles and use the DBI interface. So, I set out to create an abstract SQL generation module.

#2961 new port, perl/p5-universal-moniker macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Class names in Perl often don't sound great when spoken, or look good when written in prose. For this reason, we tend to say things like "customer" or "basket" when we are referring to My::Site::User::Customer or My::Site::Shop::Basket. We thought it would be nice if our classes knew what we would prefer to call them.

#20256 new port: py26-biopython mww@… request Normal ports
Description

search/replace py25/py26 in py25-biopython seems to do the trick

#24048 new port: py26-cx_Freeze adfernandes@… submission Normal ports
Description

cx_Freeze is a set of scripts and modules for freezing Python scripts into executables in much the same way that py2exe and py2app do. Unlike these two tools, cx_Freeze is cross platform and should work on any platform that Python itself works on.

#24047 new port: py26-enchant adfernandes@… submission Normal ports
Description

a python interface to the enchant spell-checking library

#20610 new port : py26-eyed3 snc@… submission Normal ports
Description

python 2.6 version of py25-eyed3.

eyed3 doesn't require optik, contrary to what its acsite.m4 file implies. Optik is the old name of optparse, which is included in python25 and python26.

#20611 new port : py26-feedparser macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

python 2.6 version of py25-feedparser. I just upgraded the PortGroup and changed the maintainer.

#20612 new port : py26-gnome snc@… submission Normal ports
Description

python 2.6 version of py25-gnome. It contains a patch to have bonobo working with gtk+quartz, which applies also to py25-gnome.

#21943 New Port: py26-logilab-hmm macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

Python implementation of Hidden Markov model and associated algorithms (Viterbi and Baum-Welsh)

It contains some C extensions and uses Numeric Python to speed up the computations.

As a stub I took the py26-logilab-astng Portfile. Since py26-logilab-hmm requires fortran to build, I took the Fortran stuff from the py26-scipy Portfile.

#23449 new port: py26-mpi4py adfernandes@… submission Normal ports
Description

I've attached a new port of mpi4py for python 2.6.

On Tiger and prior, it requires openmpi. On Leopard and after, it will by default use the system's openmpi compiler and leaves openmpi as a variant.

Comments from anyone before I commit?

#20604 new port : py26-mutagen macports-tickets@… submission Normal ports
Description

A (pure) Python module to handle audio metadata.

This is a variant of an existing python24 and python25 port: I just changed the portgroup.

#29423 NEW port: py26-nmrglue macsforever2000@… submission Normal ports
Description

I would like to request that a new port be created based on the newly created nmrglue project http://nmrglue.googlecode.com. I have created (and tested) a Portfile appropriate for python 2.6. It's likely that a python 2.7 (and possibly also python 2.5) version of the port would be appropriate as well, though I do not have python 2.7 on my system to test the installation.

Note that I have listed myself as a maintainer, though I do not currently have commit rights--I'm not sure if this is acceptable or not. I use this project in my research, thus I'd be a good person to help keep the port current. If I'm not allowed to be listed as a maintainer since I don't yet have commit rights, then please leave the port maintainer open for the time being.

Note: See TracQuery for help on using queries.
