#36753 clang-3.2: Syntax error in projects/compiler-rt/make/platform/clang_darwin.mk, l.84 jeremyhu@… defect Normal ports

Reported by stephen@…, 18 months ago.

Description

filter-out requires two arguments in lines 84-87. I used "nonesuch" for the first argument and got a build. Haven't tested yet, just depending on the comment that this is only relevant to the ARM/iOS platform, which my host isn't.

I suspect that the real problem may be elsewhere. Specifically, the ifneq that checks version is including native builds for Mac OS X with cross-compiled builds for iOS, and since this build isn't for iOS, configure isn't DTRTing with these lines.

#36756 crack-attack: Function <glutCreateWindow> called without first calling 'glutInit' raimue@… defect Normal ports

Reported by hugo.at.ribeiro@…, 18 months ago.

Description

Crack-attack won't start. The exact error is

freeglut ERROR: Function <glutCreateWindow> called without first calling 'glutInit'

There is a patch in the "debian bug report" system (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=334215) that solves the problem. I've tried it and it works.

Can a revised version of the port that includes the patch be made?

#36759 openjade fails to build with perl-5.16 and above because getopts.pl missing macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by david@…, 18 months ago.

Description

http://lists.linuxtogo.org/pipermail/openembedded-core/2012-July/024879.html describes problem + patch.

Using the http://sourceforge.net/projects/openjade/files/openjade/1.3.3/openjade-1.3.3-pre1.tar.gz version...

Or the svn version both fix this problem via http://openjade.sourceforge.net/svn.html instructions.

Since the 1.3.3 version is timestamped as 2003, using the svn is preferable.

An ugly + simple hack to fix version 1.3.2 is to copy getopts.pl in an old version of perl to the new... as in...

cp /opt/local/lib/perl5/5.12.4/getopts.pl /opt/local/lib/perl5/5.16.1/.

#36777 Fix cocoa support issues in ROOT 5.34.03 update ryandesign@… update Normal ports

Reported by jonesc@…, 18 months ago.

Description

Some small issues with the experimental cocoa variant were found with the recent ROOT 5.34.03 update after release. This ticket fixes them.

  • New diff patch file to be applied when the cocoa variant is enabled. To make sure TIFF support, which causes problems when cocoa is enabled, is turned off in the builtin build of libAfterImage
  • Updates the configure patch file. Previous patch was OK, but had some offsets with the new version.
  • Removes a temporary hack to sym. link root.exe to root, as the new version has fixed this upstream.

#36779 apple-gcc42 @5666.3 +bootstrap broken on Tiger because of r97799 jeremyhu@… defect Normal ports

Reported by reeskm@…, 18 months ago.

Description

I have found a bug in the Portfile for building apple-gcc42 on Tiger. Changeset surely works great for 10.8+, but for 10.4 the added build and runtime deps break Tiger.

Attached is my patch. I've tested it, and it works.

My test rig is a Xserve G4 slot load, running 10.4 Server with all updates installed and Xcode 2.5.

#36780 webkit-gtk 1.10.1_0 fails to build: missing dependency libsoup-2.4 >= 2.39.2 jeremyhu@… defect Normal ports

Reported by macports@…, 18 months ago.

Description

webkit-gtk was just bumped to 1.10.1 by change 99154 (about an hour ago). At least on OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) it fails to build with this log message:

[...]
:info:configure checking for LIBSOUP... no
:info:configure configure: error: Package requirements (libsoup-2.4 >= 2.39.2) were not met:
:info:configure
:info:configure Requested 'libsoup-2.4 >= 2.39.2' but version of libsoup is 2.38.1
:info:configure
:info:configure Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
:info:configure installed software in a non-standard prefix.
:info:configure
:info:configure Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBSOUP_CFLAGS
:info:configure and LIBSOUP_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
:info:configure See the pkg-config man page for more details.
:info:configure Command failed:  cd "/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_www_webkit-gtk/webkit-gtk/work/webkitgtk-1.10.1" && ./configure --prefix=/opt/local --with-gtk=2.0 --disable-webkit2 --disable-introspection --enable-link-prefetch --enable-image-resizer --enable-media-statistics --enable-media-stream --enable-svg --enable-geolocation --enable-webgl --enable-page-visibility-api --enable-datagrid --enable-mathml --enable-web-timing --enable-mhtml --enable-microdata --enable-mutation-observers --disable-jit --enable-video-track
:info:configure Exit code: 1
:error:configure org.macports.configure for port webkit-gtk returned: configure failure: command execution failed

The root cause seems to be that it needs libsoup-2.4 version 2.39.2 or later. MacPorts currently only has libsoup 2.38.1 packaged:

ewen@bethel:~$ port search libsoup
libsoup @2.38.1 (gnome, net)
    Soup is an HTTP library implementation in C.
ewen@bethel:~$

so would both need the new version packaged, and a dependency added to the webkit-gtk port.

#36783 mythtv-core.25 00.25.2-Fixes-20120918 Python paths wrong for site-packages/MythTV ctreleaven@… defect Normal ports

Reported by ted.rippert@…, 18 months ago.

Description

The python modules stored in the tree beginning at /opt/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/MythTV cannot be loaded by the macports python2.6 installation since it utilizes /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages for third party modules. This results, for example, in the metadata grabbers not working.

Work around:

cd /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages
sudo ln -s /opt/local/lib/python2.6/site-packages/MythTV MythTV

everything installed perfect on a clean system. we have implement logrotate on a Linux system. but the truncate feature is not working in macports version on mac osx. it only truncates if the application is not currently writing to the log file. we cannot execute a SIGHUP, to kill the program because we want the program always running, just like on Linux.

#36800 netcdf-fortran @4.2_5+gcc43 nc-config broken takeshi@… defect Normal ports

Reported by zaron@…, 18 months ago.

Description

After fresh upgrade of netcdf-fortran, a call to /opt/local/bin/nc-config yields the following output:

This netCDF 4.2 has been built with the following features:

  --cc        -> /usr/bin/gcc-4.2
  --cflags    ->  -I/opt/local/include -I/opt/local/include -DNDEBUG
  --libs      -> -L/opt/local/lib -lnetcdf

  --cxx       -> @CXX@
  --has-c++   -> @HAS_CXX@

  --fc        -> @FC@
  --fflags    -> @FFLAGS@ @MOD_FLAG@/opt/local/include
  --flibs     -> -L/opt/local/lib @NC_FLIBS@
  --has-f77   -> @HAS_F77@

  --has-dap   -> yes

  --has-nc4   -> yes
  --has-hdf5  -> yes

  --has-pnetcdf-> no
  --has-szlib ->

  --prefix    -> /opt/local
  --includedir-> /opt/local/include
  --version   -> netCDF 4.2

I don't know if this is a problem with netcdf or netcdf-fortran.

I expected the result of "nc-config --fc" to be

/opt/local/bin/gfortran-mp-4.3

Could this be related to gcc_select command, which now seems to be internal to macports? I tried selecting gcc43, but still received the same output reported above.

"uname -a" yields

#36810 pango: update to 1.32.x ryandesign@… update Normal ports

Reported by ryandesign@…, 18 months ago.

Description

Pango 1.32.1 is available. But pango now requires harfbuzz, and harfbuzz 0.9.4 and later has problems when icu is installed:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=54948

And there is no option to disable icu support in harfbuzz if icu is installed:

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39703

We could perhaps just not update harfbuzz past 0.9.3.

But harfbuzz requires graphite2, and graphite2 (both 1.1.3 and 1.2.0) have issues. It does not compile with gcc-4.0 without being patched:

https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=513479&aid=3581749&group_id=66144

And even when patched, or when using gcc-4.2, a quarter of the tests fail:

#36819 lbdb 0.36-2 doesn't build on Mountain Lion macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by cobbe@…, 18 months ago.

Description

Just upgraded to 10.8.2 (with XCode 4.5.1), and I'm not able to build lbdb @0.36_2; I've attached the build log.

This appears to be the same failure mode as reported in #4839, believe it or not, but it seems that Makefile.in already includes the changes from the patch attached to that ticket (modulo some refactoring and a change to xcodebuild's invocation).

Dunno if it matters, but I forgot to run "sudo xcodebuild -license" before doing the installation the first time around, so there were lots of warnings about this in main.log. I ran that and attempted the build again, with no real change, but I'm attaching the second log, to cut down on the noise. (I was also able to install a bunch of other ports successfully before running "xcodebuild -license", so I don't know how significant that is.)

I substitute all references directly to a file in glib headers to glib.h

In the second step the build process goes forward but it stop for another error. (attached main.log.2.txt)

I've tried to compile with and without the +universal option but it prints the same error on unknown architecture x86_64.

Anyone could help me/us?

#36835 [Port Abandoned] mutt-devel mnick@… defect Normal ports

Reported by kchr@…, 18 months ago.

Description

Priority set to high as there are lots of unhandled tickets for mutt-devel, please change if this is inappropiate.

The reason I'm suggesting it is abandoned is because I have been trying to get in touch with the port owner (mnick), regarding ticket #33222 (sidebar patch is broken). Even though we have provided a solution we have heard nothing from the maintainer, not even after direct mail to his macports address.

Two months have gone after we first contacted him so I'd say it would be for the best to change to another maintainer. I could voulonteer if you need people. Been using mutt for 10 years and would say I have good knowledge about the extra patchsets in the port.

#36839 mutt-devel @1.5.21 cannot be fetched, files missing on mirrors mnick@… defect Normal ports

Reported by kchr@…, 18 months ago.

Description

It seems that one of the major upstream patches that we use for mutt-devel has disappeared from the distfile mirrors, but is still referenced in the Portfile as a critical one.

The Portfile has not been updated for almost a year (2012-01-05), but somehow the mutt-devel file area do not serve this patch anymore, and it looks the same on about every mirror I've checked so far.

Either we re-add this patch so that we can build the mutt-devel port we have in the tree (1.5.21-2), or just bump it up to latest upstream (1.5.21-6.1) which has been out since June this year. I vote for the latter, seeing as this is the bleeding edge port.

Again, I voulenteer if needed.

I've attached the missing patch, a quick solution could be to just commit it back into the mutt-devel distfiles.

For the record this patch was introduced for ticket #28269, upstream ticket here: http://dev.mutt.org/trac/ticket/3457

Py2app uses macholib to rewrite those mentions to relative paths starting with '@executable_path'. For libraries that are located in /opt/local the new path requires more space than the old one, hence the error message. One way to ensure that there is enough space is the linker flag "headerpad_max_install_names". I don't know how to tell darwinports to add this flag when building opencv.

I don't know either. Does anybody can help me to fix this issue?

#36846 ImageMagick install problem macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

Reported by dylan.matthews@…, 18 months ago.

Description

When I try to install the ImageMagick port, I get the following errors which send it into an infinite loop:

Warning: No port ncursesw found in the index; can't rebuild
Warning: No port xorg-liblbxutil found in the index; can't rebuild
Warning: No port xorg-liboldX found in the index; can't rebuild

I've run selfupdate and sync and they don't seem to do anything. I can't uninstall the libraries in question because other ports depend on them. And I have to delete .registry.lock to even get port to run much of the time. Help?

#36853 levmar @2.6 remove dependency on Apple libraries macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal ports

Reported by lockhart@…, 18 months ago.

Description

The original Portfile uses the makefile included with levmar which links with liblapack and libblas. These are available from Apple, but has a library name conflict with the MacPorts atlas package. The conflict becomes apparent if atlas is installed before levmar is installed. So here we modify the Portfile and the makefile patches to require and use the atlas lapack and blas functions included in libsatlas.dylib rather than the liblapack.dylib and libblas.dylib libraries from Apple.

#36854 mythtv-core.25.3 doesn't build with xcode 3.2.6 on Core Duo iMac ctreleaven@… defect Normal ports

It couldn't build the yadif filter. It was recently added back into the mythtv filter project. See http://code.mythtv.org/trac/changeset?reponame=mythtv&new=08e8883b35409864d81ace2b47f95b78f1280867%40mythtv%2Ffilters%2Ffilters.pro&old=5993036c9cf7fc355f9b5205a641ff58815f4153%40mythtv%2Ffilters%2Ffilters.pro

So I modified the filters.pro file to exclude yadif and the build then was successful.

The Frontend crashed at start up but that is probably for another ticket.

This is my very first ticket so please be gentle :)

Andrew

#36876 ng-spice @23, Revision 1 misplaced directory or configuration error ryandesign@… defect Normal ports

Reported by firelizzard@…, 18 months ago.

Description

Port: ng-spice Files: /opt/local/bin/ngspice, /opt/local/share/ng-spice/spinit

When ngspice is run, it looks for it's spice initialization file at /opt/local/share/ngspice/spinit. This file is actually located at /opt/local/share/ng-spice/spinit. Symbolically linking ngspice to ng-spice in /opt/local/share solves this problem. A symptom of this is spice2poly's don't work. I'm sure there are many others.

#36877 ffmpeg @1.0+gpl2 install failure on Tiger devans@… defect Normal ports

Reported by ultrajoe@…, 18 months ago.

Description

After recovering from the shock of all the new dependencies in ffmpeg, it fails in the configure step; the -disable-mmx2 option is not supported.

Haven't had time to track it down yet, nor have I tried any of the patches, assuming they wouldn't affect a PPC Tiger release. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Note: See TracQuery for help on using queries.
