#36098 akonadi: upgrade to 1.8.0 macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal ports
Description

Please upgrade to 1.8.0.

The attached patch provides a variant which enables the SQLITE backend of akonadi, and removes the dependency on mysql.

This should provide a migration path for all users of KDE applications which only have build-time dependencies on akonadi, but do not use the akonadi DB actively (which does not seem to be working out-of-the-box anyway, see #33998.)

#36099 gcc47 @4.7.1, Revision 4 fails to build mww@… defect Normal ports
Description

It complains about missing symbols for the target arch (x86_64). The log is attached.

#36100 g++-mp-4.[567] ld: library not found for -lstdc++ macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description

Using Snow Leopard, just upgraded gcc45

$ port installed gcc45
The following ports are currently installed:
  gcc45 @4.5.4_2+universal (active)
$ ls -l /opt/local/lib/gcc45/libstdc++.*
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  26 11 Sep 08:15 /opt/local/lib/gcc45/libstdc++.6.dylib -> /usr/lib/libstdc++.6/dylib

Note the .6/dylib where .dylib is wanted. Also, the linker looks for libstdc++.dylib. A workaround is:

$ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libstdc++.6.dylib libstdc++.dylib

The same problem appears in gcc46 and gcc47:

$ ls -l /opt/local/lib/gcc*/libstdc++.6.dylib
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  26 11 Sep 08:15 /opt/local/lib/gcc45/libstdc++.6.dylib -> /usr/lib/libstdc++.6/dylib
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  26 11 Sep 08:34 /opt/local/lib/gcc46/libstdc++.6.dylib -> /usr/lib/libstdc++.6/dylib
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  26 11 Sep 09:09 /opt/local/lib/gcc47/libstdc++.6.dylib -> /usr/lib/libstdc++.6/dylib
#36102 darktable: fails to build with libpng15, please upgrade to 1.0.5 macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports
Description
[graphics/darktable] > livecheck
darktable seems to have been updated (port version: 0.7.1, new version: 1.0.5)

0.7.1 doesn't build with libpng15 (see build log)

#36103 octave-devel build: munge-texi(22633) malloc: *** error for object 0x1000d47e0: pointer being freed was not allocated michaelld@… defect Normal ports
Description

Running OSX 10.8.1. I had "octave-devel +docs +fltk" @3.6.2 installed earlier, but an "upgrade outdated" killed it. My latest attempt at a clean installation failed well into the build stage with the messages

#36108 qt4-mac @4.8.2_3+quartz -- Designer cannot create Main Window properly michaelld@… defect Normal ports
Description

Although qt4 works okay on Mountain Lion, when I started to use Qt Designer to create UI files for pyqt4, I find that the menu bar (qmenubar) won't show up in any Main Window form. It can be tested by use the Qt Designer to create a new form using Main Window template. You can design your menus and submenus but when you preview it, the menus and submenus will go missing. I think this issue is only for Mac because I test qt4 on Windows and it doesn't have this issue.

#36112 [Port abandoned] haskell-platform and its dependencies jmr@… defect Normal ports
Description

#35813 is pending for 3 weeks now without reply from the maintainer.

Please give permission to overwrite the maintainer for those ports. I would appreciate if you didn't actually change the maintainer lines in the repository, because that would break the suggested merge and require manual conflict resolving. Instead, if a port manager could approve this by commenting here, I'd reference this ticket in the commit message for the merge.

The file "kdelibs4/work/kdelibs-4.8.3/kjs/wtf/HashSet.h" errors when building kdelib4 on MacOS MountainLion.

The fix is quite simple, edit the file and change the line 184 so the part "m_impl->find" reads "m_impl->template find" (same for the two other lines below. I think a patch is required, but while testing my changes, it worked and installed, and port zapped the archive from my drive.

#36135 gnuplot enhancement to support emacs-app mojca@… enhancement Normal ports
Description

The attached Portfile patch adds a new emacs_app variant which is like the emacs variant but uses Emacs.app. It almost suffices to just modify the existing "emacs" variant replacing

    depends_build-append    path:bin/emacs:emacs

with

    depends_build-append    path:share/emacs/site-lisp:emacs

but then it ends up using the (older) system /usr/bin/emacs for compilation (which works, but is Wrong).

The "configure.env-append" part sets $EMACS to the Emacs.app executable. We also have to update $PATH because of the gnuplot ./lisp/configure script which does this

EMACS=`basename $EMACS`

and then proceeds to call

$EMACS --version

which, depending upon file system case sensitivity, either erroneously finds /usr/bin/emacs (as /usr/bin/Emacs) or fails outright.

The "pre-configure" block edits ./lisp/configure to recognize "Emacs" as well as "emacs" as a valid executable name for GNU Emacs.

#36138 New variant "subtree" for git-core ciserlohn@… enhancement Normal ports

#36140 Safari suddenly has problems editing existing tickets wsiegrist@… defect Normal server/hosting
Description

Today I noticed that I couldn't edit existing tickets in Safari anymore.

(This is due to the fact that the trac website got updated, but obviously not fully tested on Safari.)

The edit box for a ticket reply is so narrow that no letters can be seen. One can - blindly - enter text, but it is impossible to drag the right lower corner of the edit box to the right to see the text.

I guess the trac-code generating the ticket form needs a Safari-specific update'''

[I am writing this through Firefox.]

#36146 octave-devel build: no graphics display found michaelld@… defect Normal ports
Description

I just did a clean installation of octave-devel:

   sudo port install octave-devel +gcc47 +docs +fltk

The build went perfectly and octave now works---but with one serious problem that is announced immediately:

warning: no graphical display found

The latest port of aquaterm @1.1.1 is installed and active in my MacPorts system. I believe octave-devel should have picked this up during its compilation.

My homebrew octave, also @3.6.2,

   /usr/local/bin/octave

has no problem finding the MacPorts aquaterm.

#36147 upgrade of gcc46 fetches gcc47?? macports-tickets@… defect Normal ports

$ port info gcc46
gcc46 @4.6.3, Revision 7 (lang)

$ port info libstdcxx
libstdcxx @4.7.1, Revision 101 (lang)

I noticed the latest series of changes to the gcc46 port were libstdcxx related. Is this behavior expected? Downloading gcc 4.7 in order to upgrade the gcc 4.6 port? It seems...wrong. OS X 10.8.1, Xcode 4.4.1, etc.

This way the port can be build 64 bits on modern systems while still supporting 2.8 wxWidgets.

Patch attached.

#36178 Add port select support for pip and virtualenv akitada@… request Normal ports
Description

Would it be possible to implement the possibility to select a default pip and virtualenv? E.g.

sudo port select --set pip py27-pip
sudo port select --set virtualenv py27-virtualenv

Just like for python, ipython, cython or nosetests this would be very useful. pip and virtualenv are quite frequently used e.g. in shell scripts written by others to install software and if only pip-2.7 is on the PATH they fail. I would prefer setting the default version via Macports than via symlinks or aliases.

#36179 Please add port select --summary option macports-tickets@… enhancement Normal base
Description

I love how easy it is with port select to switch between versions.

But finding out which of the ports I have installed support port select is tricky. I have to google to find http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8016692/on-macports-what-ports-are-supported-by-port-select and then I see

$ ls /opt/local/etc/select
clang cython gcc ipython llvm mysql nosetests pep8 python qt4 scala sphinx
$ port select --show gcc
The currently selected version for 'gcc' is 'mp-gcc47'.
$ port select --show python
The currently selected version for 'python' is 'python27'.

Would it be possible to have one command (e.g. called --summary) that shows an overview table:

$ port select --summary
Portgroup   Selected   Options
gcc         mp-gcc47   none llvm-gcc42 mp-gcc45 mp-gcc47 mp-llvm-gcc42
python      python27   none python27 python32

Hi

After recent updates, I have found out that the php5-curl extension does not work. This means that it does not sends requests. Example code:

<?php

error_reporting(E_ALL);
$handle = curl_init();
$curl_options = array(
  CURLOPT_COOKIEJAR => NULL,
  CURLOPT_URL => 'http://apple.com/',
  CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION => FALSE,
  CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER => TRUE,
  CURLOPT_HEADER => FALSE,
);
curl_setopt_array($handle, $curl_options);
$content = curl_exec($handle);
curl_close($handle);
print $content;

This returns nothing (no content, no errors in any logs) on my machine, but it returns content on any other servers. This breaks almost all sites which I work on.

Removing the qt_mac variant works, i.e.

works fine.

Anyway, I would prefer to install ROOT also with qt_mac variant..

Attached the main log. I would ask if this is the result of recent the changes (libstdcxx etc.) in GCC.

#36193 File permissions of port py27-httplib2 appear incorrect akitada@… defect Normal ports
Description

A port (py27-errorhandler) that depended on py27-http2 failed to install. Looking up the failure log, the following line indicated a problem with the py27-http2 port:

:info:build IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: '/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/httplib2-0.7.6-py2.7.egg-info/top_level.txt'

it appeared that several files that form the py27-http2 port had perms of 640, rather than the typical 644, meaning that a non-root process couldn't read the files.

fabry@Tomokato:/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/httplib2-0.7.6-py2.7.egg-info
[4997] $ ls -lah

drwxr-xr-x  100 root  wheel   3.3K Sep 17 18:15 ..
-rw-r-----    1 root  wheel   2.3K Sep 17 18:15 PKG-INFO

-rw-r-----    1 root  wheel     9B Sep 17 18:15 top_level.txt

I think these permissions are set upon port installation, hence I think this is a problem with the port.

I tried force uninstalling, cleaning, and reinstalling py27-http2 & py27-errorhandler, with the same results. A sudo chmod 644 to the /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/httplib2-0.7.6-py2.7.egg-info directory fixed the problems (i.e. sudo port install py27-errorhandler successfully completed).

This problem occurred on OS X 10.8.1, using Xcode 4.4.1 (4F1003), Macports 2.1.2, py27-httplib2 @2-0.7.6_0.

Thanks for contributing to Macports!

#36203 hdf5-18: Variant openmpi conflicts with gcc45 mmoll@… defect Normal ports
Description

I have hdf5-18 installed with the variants gcc45 and openmpi:

bash-3.2$ port installed hdf5-18
The following ports are currently installed:
  hdf5-18 @1.8.9_0+gcc45+openmpi (active)

since version 1.8.9.1, hdf5-18 the compatibility with previous version is lost and it doesn't accept anymore gcc45+openmpi variants. I cannot upgrade this package and the related packages.

Error: hdf5-18: Variant openmpi conflicts with gcc45

However, I need gcc45+openmpi for netcdf and wgrib2 that depends on hdf5-18.
How should I proceed?

#36210 djview 4.9: Garbage ideograms nicos@… defect Normal ports
Description

In DJVIEW 4.9 (DjVuLibre 3.5.25) there are menu items and dialog box buttons with IDEOGRAMS (Chinese/Japanese characters) .

This didn't occur in previous version, 4.5, of DJVIEW.

If I just substitute the /Applications/MacPorts/djview.app/Contents/MacOS/djview file of 4.9 version with that of 4.5 version, the ideograms disappear and the involved menu items etc. display correctly, with english characters.

Here is on Lion 10.7.4 and Xcode 4.4.1.
