#1023 closed defect (fixed)

User Guide isn't consistent about $CVSROOT wrt cvs commands

Reported by:… Owned by: wbb4@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: guide Version: 1.0
Keywords: Cc:

Description tells the user to explicitly override $CVSROOT with the -d global option to cvs while the instructions at require $CVSROOT to be set.

we should probably be explicit in all cvs example commands in the doc. at the least, we need to be consistent.

I have added this to my list of changes to make in my overhaul of the Guide. I should be finished with it this weekend.

This has been fixed in the Guide that's on the website (has been for a while, actually) ... I will close this bug once the changes go into cvs (in the next couple of days).
