A couple of comments and (maybe stupid questions): (1) Why should this go in "textproc"? Perhaps I'm ignorant of it's function. Does anyone who has used it have a good suggestion for a category? (2) You should use the new mirror site lists functionality for SourceForge master_sites. See: http://www.opendarwin.org/projects/darwinports/guide/ch03s04.html#id461685 for more information on how to use it, look around the dports tree for examples, and you can email me (wbb4@…) and/or darwinports@ if you have any quesitons. Thanks!

Honestly, I looked at the list of subdirectories and could not find one that really fit. Is there one I'm missing that's just for "applications"? This is a genealogy application; basically, it creates a database of your family tree information, and allows you to browse/edit/import etc. it, and produce reports based on it.

Let me know which one you prefer and I'll change it for revision 2.

(2) You should use the new mirror site lists functionality for SourceForge master_sites.

OK, will do. I'll build that into revision 2 also, and then I'll replace the Portfile attachment on this bug. Thanks for the pointers.

Well, it's under "misc" in FreeBSD... which we don't have. You might send an email to darwinports@ to ask about this, and get some feedback--I have no idea where it should go.

You shouldn't use the revision key unless: (1) The port is already in the tree without the revision key (defaulting to 0) and (2) You make major changes to the Portfile, without changing the version number of the software or anything along those lines.

So you don't need to worry about it.

One other quick comment, manpages should install to ${prefix}/share/man (this is a recent policy decision, it'll be added to the Guide soon :).
