py-wxpython for python24?

Description
I notice that the latest py-wxpython requires python25?! If I patch the Portfile to use python24, it compiles, and runs just fine - and then it works with the same python as many of the other py-* ports. When doing a transition from one version of python to another, can we please maintian 2 ports: one each for the old and new python versions? At a minimum, please provide another version of py-wxpython for python24, maybe called "py24-wxpython". Thanks! - MLD

The current port depends on python24 (and has done so for a while), please sync (or selfupdate). Maybe you have this already, I have not had too much time (so one of the first things to be dropped is unfortunately looking at tickets).
