SVK port fails on VCP install

Description
The svk port fails at the point of installing the VCP module. Specifically the VCP-autrijus-snapshot-0.9-20050110 package.
I don't think this is necessarily a bug in the port iteself though as the CPAN is unable to build the VCP bundle either.
VCP is an optional component of svk that enables mirroring of cvs repos if i understand correctly.
Perhaps it would be adviseable to make VCP a variant until it is fixed. (this is recent too, I installed svk on another machine a couple of days ago).
Both machines: OSX.4 Tiger latest update, fresh installs.

This is not a MacPorts issue. Manually building svk via Perl/CPAN outside of the ports build environment and then pointing at a variant as a plausible fix does not add any weight to this issue. Closing ticket.
