MPlayer does not play audio for WMV files

Description
When playing MWV files in MPlayer it is able to display video, but it is unable to play any audio. The following message is displayed by mplayer:
Requested video codec family [wmv9dmo] (vfm=dmo) not available. Enable it at compilation.
I tried the +binary_codecs veriant, but it did not seem to help.

Is this on intel or powerpc? binary codecs currently only work on powerpc do to wine issues (next release of mplayer will fix this), and the powerpc WMP has never been great. You may have more luck getting this answered on the mplayer mailing lists.
