dpkt provides fast, simple packet creation and parsing for python programs, with definitions for the basic TCP/IP protocols.

The attached patch to the dports tree creates the python/py-dpkt, and is designed to be applied with the -p1 option (or -Np1) from the dports directory.

Hi, thanks for your port. I have some suggestions though:

  • the port name should be 'dpkt'
  • due to the previous point, you can get rid of setting distname explicitly
