I suppose you have coreutils with "with_default_names" variant installed; this leads to you using a different 'install' program; and this leads to an error. Please contact the maintainer of coreutils to fix that variant or avoid it.
If not, please tell me "which" install program you have in your path, then I'll see what I can do about it.
