Description
I get the following error when I use macports to install a several different packages (nco, bison, and many more)
Unable to execute port: invalid command name "configure.cppflags"
Why do I get this error and how can I fix it?

This has been fixed as far as I know. Make sure to run a 'port selfupdate'. If you are still experiencing a problem, tell us what port you are installing.

From
man portfileI know that configure.cppflags can be used to overwrite/add flags for the compilation step (those are noted in various portfiles). Now what I don't know is why this error pops up, as I'm not developing macports. Maybe your version of macports is slightly out of date? (rough guess)
