Anyhoo, kde still requires kdepim3, and fails when it tries to build it, I've tried cleaning out both kde and kdepim3 several times now and rebuilding both kde and kdepim3 seperately, but it still fails. Full log posted below: {{{ sudo port install kde ---> Fetching kdepim3 ---> Attempting to fetch kdepim-3.5.8.tar.bz2 from http://kde.mirrors.hoobly.com/stable/3.5.8/src/ ---> Attempting to fetch kdepim-3.5.8.tar.bz2 from http://gd.tuwien.ac.at/kde/stable/3.5.8/src/ ---> Attempting to fetch kde-admindir-1024.tar.bz2 from http://ranger.users.finkproject.org/distfiles/kde-admindir/ ---> Verifying checksum(s) for kdepim3 ---> Extracting kdepim3 ---> Configuring kdepim3 ---> Building kdepim3 with target all Error: Target org.macports.build returned: shell command ""cd /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_kde_kdepim3/work/kdepim-3.5.8 && ./CompileScript.sh"" returned error 1 Command output: kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'attlist.em' kxml_compiler: REF strong kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'strong' kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'strong' kxml_compiler: REF attlist.strong kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'attlist.strong' kxml_compiler: REF br kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'br' kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'br' kxml_compiler: REF attlist.br kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'attlist.br' kxml_compiler: REF responsible kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'responsible' kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'responsible' kxml_compiler: REF attlist.responsible kxml_compiler: substituteReferences for 'attlist.responsible' kxml_compiler: REF category kxml_compiler: Don't resolve self reference kxml_compiler: Begin creating code kxml_compiler: Create classes kxml_compiler: Create parser kxml_compiler: Creator::createFileParserCustom() kxml_compiler: Begin printing code kxml_compiler: Print external parser. kxml_compiler: Print header kxml_compiler: Print implementation kxml_compiler: Finished. If it helps at all fink seemed pretty confused as to what libraries to use to build kdepim3, as I was going to try installing it under fink and hoping port install kde could use whatever fink built...show's how much I know. I was going to venture installing the thing from source myself...but the entire reason behind using MacPorts is to avoid doing this very thing. One interesting thing of note I find is that running port selfupdate, I have version 1.6 installed, however 1.7 is available in the trac report, this wouldn't be something I need version 1.7 of macports to use?!?
