BUG: PHP misses dependency on wget

Reported by: raimue (Rainer Müller) Owned by: ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt)

Description

From MAMP?:

Note: Currently, the PHP5 installer uses wget to install the PEAR environment, but the installer does not list wget as a dependent component. So, the installation will fail during the staging operations if you do not manually install wget first.

I couldn't verify locally, but seems like there was an issue for jaguarcy. Maybe you could explain the issues you had a bit more here?

Actually no, I couldn't. These instructions were taken from the old DarwinPorts wiki page, which I had saved locally. I didn't experience the problem myself as I did install wget prior to PHP, and I didn't even try to install the PEAR packages.

The instructions were originally here: http://wiki.opendarwin.org/index.php/DarwinPorts:MAMP (the server no longer exists). The instructions were written when OS X still came with Apache 1.3.33, and were written for MySQL 4. I modified them for the latest version of MySQL 5.
