#16696 closed defect (wontfix)

Cogito and stgit doesn't work with git-core@1.6.0.2_0

Reported by: Lars.Rasmusson@… Owned by: bryan@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.6.0
Keywords: Cc: boeyms@…, maccheck@…
Port: git-core, cogito, stgit

Description

It seems that git has changed and now cogito can't find the git commands.

For example from within a git repo:

$ cg log
/opt/local/lib/cogito/cg-Xlib: line 926: git-symbolic-ref: command not found
/opt/local/lib/cogito/cg-Xlib: line 238: git-repo-config: command not found
/opt/local/lib/cogito/cg-Xlib: line 926: git-symbolic-ref: command not found
Invalid id: HEAD

It seems to be known and solvable with a patch, see http://lists-archives.org/cygwin/37484-updated-git-1-6-0-1-git-k-gui-completion-1-6-0-1.html

Cogito itself isn't maintained since fall 2006. Therefore, it is not supposed to work with git 1.6.x. As I don't use cogito and stgit I'm not aware of according version compatibility issues.
