Fails to build because it depends on db46 but the configure script only seems to check for versions up to 4.5.

That's an upstream bug then or we can require db45.

The issues with detecting the right db might be easier to deal with if we had a db_select port so that there could be an unversioned libdb to link to. Also open-cobol is up to version 1.1 now, so we should probably be trying to install that instead of version 1.0.

We should never be doing this (legacy nonsense such as perl5 aside). FOO_select ports are solely to select user-facing defaults. Ports themselves should always use specific versions.
