#18003 closed defect (invalid)

texlive install: invalid command name "use_lzma"

Reported by: dbarnes@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.7.0
Keywords: Cc:
Port:

Description

tcsh% port install texlive Error: Unable to execute port: invalid command name "use_lzma" tcsh% port -v MacPorts 1.700

This very same error is reported in ticket #16788, and that is marked as resolved in r42865. However MacPorts 1.700 is (I think) revision 45390 (browsing the SVN shows this), so this fix does not work. And it's not at all obvious why just adding a line in the options definition in portfetch.tcl would completely resolve this.

Ticket #16788 reports the same problem.

That was merged to the 1.7 branch in r42867, which was December 1, almost two weeks prior to 1.7.0 being released. If it's failing for you and port version says 1.700, you may have a prerelease of 1.7 or a former trunk install prior to that commit. If so, you can either install install from DMG or force the selfupdate with sudo port -f selfupdate. If you are curious check the date on port, ls -l /opt/local/bin/port.

Right, the fix works, you need to update.
