fontconfig 2.7.2 build error

Reported by: sappharad@… Owned by: ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 1.8.0
Keywords: Cc: sappharad@…
Port: fontconfig

Description

When I try to install the latest fontconfig on Snow Leopard 10.6, it won't build, with errors in fcxml.c

This is from a mostly fresh install of port. (After upgrading to Snow Leopard, I did port uninstall -f installed to remove all installed packages, then proceeded to reinstall the things I had installed previously.)

See attached file for full error log. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Attached debug output... Hey, it worked that time.

What the heck? Apparently it just needed a clean? I guess you can close this, unless there's some reason it failed the first time.

I experienced a fontconfig build failure as well... and I was also able to get it to install the second time I tried with those directions.

Anytime you encounter an error building a port, it's probably a good idea to clean it and try again. If that works, then perhaps there was a previous failed build attempt around.
