#21297 closed defect (duplicate)

port command deletes my /opt symlink

Reported by: dh@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: High Milestone:
Component: base Version: 1.8.0

Port:

Description

My /opt is a symlink to a directory on another disk.

After upgrading to macports 1.8.0, running port upgrade -c on any outdated port destroys the symlink!

$ ll /opt/
total 0
drwxr-xr-x  14 root  wheel  476 Sep 11 14:34 local/

$ sudo port upgrade -c py26-logilab-common
--->  Computing dependencies for py26-logilab-common
--->  Extracting py26-logilab-common
--->  Configuring py26-logilab-common
--->  Building py26-logilab-common
--->  Staging py26-logilab-common into destroot
--->  Deactivating py26-logilab-common @0.42.0_0
Error: Deactivating py26-logilab-common 0.42.0_0 failed: No such file or directory

$ port
-bash: /opt/local/bin/port: No such file or directory

$ ll /opt/
ls: /opt/: No such file or directory

Needless to say, 1.7 didn't exhibit this behaviour.
