asymptote fails to build

Description
Hello,
I tried upgrading to the latest release of asymptote (1.85) from my old version but the package fails to build (error message below). I have even tried completely uninstalling my MacPorts distribution and doing a fresh install all over again. Still no luck.
I am running this on Mac OSX 10.4.11.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running this on Mac OSX 10.4.11.
I get the same error on 10.4.11 on a PPC. The seems to have appeared when I upgraded MacPorts to version 1.8.0. I'll look into it.

I believe the developer of asymptote has now fixed the problem, see Asympote Help Form - Discussion of Compilation Problem. As soon as a new release is made upstream I'll pass it on to MP. I expect that should resolve the issue, although it is possible it will uncover a further problem with this Portfile under MacPorts 1.8.

Hello,
I upgraded to Snow Leopard and started with a completely clean distribution. Even on this OS, Asymptote fails to build. I get the same error that I had with 10.4.11 (file attached earlier).

#21805 upgrades asymptote to version 1.88, which (on my machine) fixes the problem.
