#22371 closed defect (fixed)

apache2 owns /opt/local/apache2/htdocs/index.html

Description

I just reinstalled apache2 to get +openldap support. When I did this, the new package installation silently overwrote /opt/local/apache2/htdocs/index.html. This is not good.

Summary: New apache2 installations silently overwrite files in /opt/local/apache2/htdocsapache2 owns /opt/local/apache2/htdocs/index.html

True... I'll have to think about how we should best handle this. We may want to treat index.html like we treat the apache configuration files, which are installed if absent but left untouched when upgrading or uninstalling.
