On libsdl install, linker complains,

Description
"ld: common symbols not allowed with MH_DYLIB output format with the -multi_module option", and install fails.
This occurred on Mac OS X 10.3.5 with XCode 1.5 installed.
I got around this myself by adding -fno-common to CFLAGS, and then installing as usual.

I subsequently reinstalled DarwinPorts from scratch, and have not been able to replicate the problem.

i just tried libsdl 1.2.7_0 and it installed for me without problems - is your portstree up to date ? could you provide for information (like a full build log)?
