I am not an expert. I installed the latest and greatest of everthing, and when I tried to install 3.1.2, it failed with the above error. I installed gettext and the build worked. Maybe gettext is missing as a dependancy for 3.1.2 on snow leopard ports?

I am running OSX 10.6 with macports 1.9.99. I tried to compile Python27 Universal Binaries (ppc i386) for target deployment to OSX 10.4. All the dependencies got built correctly, including gettext which was detected automatically. But I get the "_getgrouplist_2" reference error when Python27 tries to build.

As anyone got any clues why this reference is missing when GetText is actually installed?!?
