Description
Trying to change options like binary/gray/color, resolutions, etc., in xsane results in a dialog box with Failed to set value of option mode: invalid argument'.

Fortunately, the Debian people have a patch at hand, which is attached below. I'm attaching also another patch that works around some runtime warnings regarding gtk_adjustment_new().
Since xsane has currently no maintainer I hereby volunteer as openmaintainer.
