Description
I installed the mtr port using the command "sudo port install mtr" which built and installed mtr. mtr installs setuid root (so it can bind to raw sockets), but in my case (on 2 seperate machines) it installed setuid my regular user which causes it not to run correctly even when run as root.

this is not a bug: if you JUST do a "sudo port install .." it will be installed with "root/admin"; if you destroot w/o sudo, then it won't. (this is important for people who have no admin rights on a machine and want to use dports)
