    3 I believe this is related to past issues encountered with the PPC's. Ticket [https://trac.macports.org/ticket/22378 22378] seems the most relevant. I chose not to reopen that ticket because it had been resolved for PPC, and my issue has the patch incorporated into the atlas 3.8.3 port. Please merge them if I was incorrect in opening a new ticket.
