A couple nits:
the dependency on zlib needs to be fixed to 'lib:libz:zlib' your new Makefile.config.darwin hardcodes /opt/local
I haven't installed this version yet, so I need to ask: does it fix the broken symlink issue from bug 2852?

Hi Yves! Thanks for stepping up and taking this port under your wing! I uploaded a new Portfile and a new files/Makefile.config.darwin taking care of two of the problems reported by Bryan. However, as I haven't installed the port, I wasn't able to check on the third one, with respect to the broken symlink metioned in bug #2852.
Can you please try these new files and confirm the resolution of the latter issue? Thanks!

Portfile committed with minor change:
"cat Makefile.config.in ../../files/Makefile.config.darwin |" was replaced by: "cat Makefile.config.in ${filespath}/Makefile.config.darwin |"
Relative paths should never be used in Portfiles. Thanks for stepping up Yves!
