Description

port sometimes incorrectly detect some ports as uninstalled: 

$ sudo port -v uninstall gtk2 @2.18.8_0+darwin_8+x11
Waiting for lock on /opt/local/var/macports/registry/.registry.lock
gtk2 is already uninstalled
sudo port -v uninstall gtk2 @2.18.8_0+darwin_8+x11  38.36s user 33.48s system 54% cpu 2:10.92 total
$ sudo port -v uninstall gtk2 @2.18.8_0+darwin_8+x11
--->  Uninstalling gtk2 @2.18.8_0+darwin_8+x11

Here the first time it didn't work, and the second time it worked. This could be related to locks.

There isn't enough information here to be able to reproduce the issue (or to confirm if it's fixed.) Which is probably why it's just been sitting here for years. Steps to reproduce need to be provided, or the ticket just has to be closed.
