I also have Mac GNU Privacy Guard installed, so it might be a cause of conflict of some sort.

The logs say:

:info:build gpg: /Users/yves/.gnupg/gpg.conf:230: liste de recherche de clé automatique invalide

and

:info:build gpg: /Users/chrisalban/.gnupg/gpg.conf:233: invalid auto-key-locate list

Sounds like a problem in your private conf file; MacPorts has no influence on what you have in your home directory so it's up to you to fix this.

Probably fixed by base setting its own HOME?

AFAICT, this is not reproducible with the current version. If this is wrong, please open a current ticket with full details for reproducing the problem.
