Description
Attached please find a Portfile for vde2 for inclusion into macports. vde is a software switch that can be used with VM software like VirtualBox or qemu to create many interesting network topologies (http://vde.sourceforge.net/).

Committed in r78234 with these changes:
- switched to bz2 distfile (it's smaller)
- removed md5 checksum (we're trying to remove it from MacPorts)
- added openssl dependency (vde_cryptcab links with it)
- added license information
- added documentation files (see PortfileRecipes)
- tweaked the formatting

I'm not sure if this is the proper procedure for updating the Portfile now that it has been included, but I've updated the Portfile as the previous version didn't work quite right for all the variants. Attached is the new Portfile and a patch necessary to patch configure.ac.

Proper procedure is actually to file a new ticket.

And instead of supplying an entire new Portfile, it's better to attach a unified diff of your changes, so we can more easily evaluate them. But I'll handle the update in this ticket this time.
