FYI, the only place where one-letter flags like -v have any effect is immediately after the port command.

Sorry about the initial formatting, didn't see a way to change after I'd submitted (my fault for not previewing). Hopefully this is clearer. File is coming from http://www.gprolog.org

Indeed, it looks like gprolog 1.4.0 was stealth-updated on July 7 (the initial release of 1.4.0 was June 29). Paulo, shall I commit the attached patch to update the port to this new version of 1.4.0?

I think so. From reading the posts on the GNU Prolog mailing list, it seems that the source archive was updated in order to solve a compilation issue on some (non-macosx) platforms.
