Description

good job mac ports guys,

but I don't want the username and usergroup macports in my MacOS --- id macports uid=502(macports) gid=501(macports) groups=501(macports),etc....

-- how do I delete it...and I did follow the uninstalling tips to remove files

The same way you delete any other user or group; with dscl. Closing as this is not a bug report. Please use a more appropriate venue for such question in future: http://www.macports.org/contact.php

I think the application is responsible for whatever it added into the system,IT IS A BUG!!!!

We should probably at least document the dscl commands for removing the user and group in the uninstallation instructions in the guide.

No need to shout. When reporting a bug, it is typical to describe the undesired behaviour and the behaviour that should occur instead, not just ask a tech support type question.
