#31806 closed defect (worksforme)

libtasn1-2.9 download is html file

Reported by: macports@… Owned by: sfiera@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.0.3
Keywords: Cc:
Port: libtasn1

Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))

After running "port selfupdate" , "port clean libtasn1", and "port install libtasn1", the checksum fails to verify the archive. It appears it is downloaded the archive from macports by verifying the checksum against an archive at gnu.org. Here is the output:

port install libtasn1
--->  Fetching archive for libtasn1
--->  Attempting to fetch libtasn1-2.9_0.darwin_10.x86_64.tgz from http://packages.macports.org/libtasn1
--->  Fetching libtasn1
--->  Verifying checksum(s) for libtasn1
Error: Checksum (md5) mismatch for libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz
Error: Checksum (sha1) mismatch for libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz
Error: Checksum (rmd160) mismatch for libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz
***
The non-matching file appears to be HTML. See this page for possible reasons
for the checksum mismatch:

Did you read MisbehavingServers as the error message mentioned? What is in the HTML file /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/libtasn1/libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz -- open it in a text editor?

I did read Misbehaving servers and didn't see anything that applied to me. It looks like the file is just referenced incorrectly in the port.

In that file is this:

gzip: /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/libtasn1/libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz: not in gzip format

" tar.vim version v23b " Browsing tarfile /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/libtasn1/libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz " Select a file with cursor and press ENTER

gzip: /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/libtasn1/libtasn1-2.9.tar.gz: not in gzip format
