Having encountered the same problem, I confirm that it works with the following command:

port -sv install mjpegtools configure.compiler=llvm-gcc-4.2

Has duplicate #34849. This bug was also filed as ​Gentoo bug 409197 and ​upstream bug 3515859. There is a patch attached there. Fixed in r94275.
