Just a small note: I am not a developer (of any kind) and this is my firs ever bug report anywhere so if I have laeft out some needed info piece contact me ASAP

That's fine except you should also Cc the port maintainers. I have already done so.

The port probably needs to be patched to #define either APPLE_USE_RFC_2292 or APPLE_USE_RFC_3542 (but I'm not sure which)
