Description (last modified by mf2k (Frank Schima))

I have been attempting to install tightvnc on OS X Lion.

All the dependencies installed ok. But tightvnc will not install. Have attempted to use compiler llvm-gcc-4.2 and apple-gcc4.2 as per the ticket guidelines but to no avail.

I am returned the error message:

Error: Target org.macports.configure returned: xmkmf failure: shell command failed (see log for details)
Log for tightvnc is at: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_x11_tightvnc/tightvnc/main.log
Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.
To report a bug, see <http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets>

I have attached the log file for observation.

error log whilst building tightvnc

I fixed this error by completely removing MaxPorts, and Xcode 4.2.1 and Xcode 4.3.1 in terminal like so: sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all sudo rm -rf /Developer sudo rm -rf /Applications/Xcode.app sudo reboot

Then reinstalled Xcode 4.3.1 from App Store. Went into Xcode and Preferences > Downloads; installed 'Command Line Tools'

Re-installed MacPorts and installed tightvnc.

Sorry for any wasted time. I hope this may help anyone else getting this error message.
