Ran selfupdate, upgrade outdated on macports this week and now inkscape-devel will not build -- log attached. inkscape builds successfully.

OSX 10.7.3
Xcode 4.3.2
Macports 2.0.4

Same issue for me on OS X 10.6.8, Xcode 3.2.5, Macports 2.0.4. configure is picking up the system aclocal rather than aclocal installed by MacPorts.

Works for me with the patch attached to upstream bug report ​Bug #992047 patch 'autogen.sh' to detect automake 1.12 (MacPorts, OS X) (Note: not yet reviewed by Inkscape devs).

A consequence of updating automake to version 1.12 which autogen.sh does not recognize.

Fix committed in r97787.
