Description
The TAO port currently does not support variants though the TAO build system does. Implement these variants and explicitly use the proper compiler using the same techniques applied to the ACE port in ticket #34603.

Add configurable options for universal binaries and ssl support. This is a full file, not a patch on the previous version.
