Description
This is a fix that was not submit in the previous commit.
The standard kext location in version 0.9.0 has been moved from /System/Library to /Library and macports comments should reflect it.

The comment is correct. The point is that the kext is loaded by a setuid binary, so it doesn't have to be installed into the privileged /System/Library/Extensions for autoloading to work.
