We have other open tickets about ImageMagick's OpenMP support already: #15945, #24944, #34231. Is this a duplicate of one of them?
This archlinux bug report you referenced says "Only plausible explanation I can find is that this is the first ImageMagick version packaged with gcc v4.7.0" however that explanation does not apply in MacPorts; we don't compile ImageMagick with gcc 4.7.
