checking for GLOM... configure: error: Package requirements (bakery-2.4 >= 2.3.18 gtkmm-2.4 >= 2.6.1 gthread-2.0 gnome-vfsmm-2.6 >= 2.11.1 libgnomecanvasmm-2.6 >= 2.10.0 libxslt >= 1.1.10 pygda-1.2 pygtk-2.0 >= 2.6.0 libgnome-2.0 >= 2.6.0 iso-codes libgdamm-2.0 >= 1.3.7 libgtksourceviewmm-1.0 libgda >= 1.2.4) were not met:

No package 'bakery-2.4' found
No package 'gnome-vfsmm-2.6' found
No package 'pygda-1.2' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GLOM_CFLAGS
and GLOM_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

sudo port install bakery gnome-vfsmm pygda

– succeeded for bakery and for gnome-vfsmm but

Error: Port pygda not found

Related: #35102

glom @1.4.2- outdated dependencies: "gnome-python-extras" is now "pydga"

A long shot, I wondered whether glom might build without pygda, 

:info:configure No package 'bakery-2.4' found
:info:configure No package 'pygda-1.2' found

Currently,

bakery @2.6.3, Revision 2 (gnome)

– so I was puzzled by bakery-2.4 not found, but then I guess that this falls under the umbrella of #35008

glom: update to 1.22.0

Fixed by updating to version 1.26.0 in r123543 (#35008).
