#35185 closed defect (fixed)

kdevelop: unable to create a project (this program is unstable)

Reported by: mparchet@… Owned by: NicosPavlov
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.1.1
Keywords: Cc:
Port: kdevelop

Description (last modified by NicosPavlov)

Replying to mparchet@…:

Note : if I don't start kbuildsycoca4, kdevelop start with an error (KTextEditor not found).

The port indeed requires to use kbuildsycoca4 after install, as already indicated in the notes of the Porfile. However, as this command only rebuilds the system cache, it should be necessary to run it only once. Is the behaviour in you case different ?

The crash described looks a lot like the problem of ticket #32406, where the output of kdevelop is not really helpful, in fact. By searching a little bit, I noticed that a possible flaw in the port may lead it to use the system (/usr/bin) subversion when the macports' one is not installed.

Just to confirm the issue, do you have the subversion port installed and active, or not ?

In any case, I have some corrections to commit to the kdevplatform port which is the one supposedly causing problem, but I would like to confirm that your issue falls into this category.

Best regards

mparchet
