hs-json probably needs to be updated to work with the new ghc 7.4 in macports. I'll have a look after #35813.

Yes problem is fixed for me. Thanks ! (Now the problem moved to hs-pandoc-types @1.8_0 to install pandoc... :-( )

David, I have filed a ticket #36608​http://trac.macports.org/ticket/36608 for issues I'm encountering with hs-pandoc-types. Might be useful to know if your issues are the same or different from mine. Thanks.
