Processing of port python27 failed on MacOSX10.8.2

Hi, I am doing the (rude) thing of opening a new ticket because my last ticket got one request for a main.log and then was ignored after I attached it. If I can't get port working with python, my project comes to a grinding stop.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled macports. I do

sudo port install python27

After several required packages are built, I finally get
--->  Building python27
Error: org.macports.build for port python27 returned: command execution failed
Please see the log file for port python27 for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_lang_python27/python27/main.log
