I have the same error with XCode 2.2 on Tiger 10.4.3 and gcc version 4.0.1 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 5247)

I've patched the blender port to update it to 2.4.1. Is that ok with the maintainer?

Bumped blender to v2.4.1 for Python 2.4 (binary); moved it from aqua to graphics; Contacted maintainer offline and he doesn't have time to maintain the port so I set it to darwinports@….
Output from port -d install blender
