Description
Variant I created to compile openssl with -DPURIFY for better purify/valgrind compatibility (-DPURIFY makes OpenSSL not read from uninitialized memory).

Thanks for the patch, but we've left it sitting for so longer that I think we can wait another few months until we've updated to 1.1.0, which makes -DPURIFY a no-op anyway, see https://github.com/openssl/openssl/commit/d8ca44ba4158a9dafeaa30d3cba6f113904d2aa6.
