As I said in #37626:

It looks like you don't have the Xcode Command Line Tools installed. Please ensure that your Xcode installation is up to date, ensure that the Command Line Tools are installed and up to date, clean ghostscript, and try again.

I checked Xcode, it's up to date. Also I tried to clean ghostscript and tried, it's still not working.

Why cannot I modify the ticket?

The error is still

Saying Xcode is "up to date" is not helpful. What version are you running? What is the output of the following?

echo -e "=== $(/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version |head -n1) ===\n * '''Xcode''': $(/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version |tail -1)\n * '''llvm-gcc''': $(/usr/bin/llvm-gcc --version |head -1)\n * '''clang''': $(/usr/bin/clang --version |head -n1)" |tee /dev/tty |pbcopy

Your system is definitely messed up. What is the output of the following?

ls -l /Developer

Also, you only said Xcode is up to date; what about the Command Line Tools?

I don't know what you mean by command line. I use tcsh shell all the time.

Also the command you sent me is too fancy, here are mine:

/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version |head -n1
Xcode 4.5.2
/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version |tail -1
Build version 4G2008a
/usr/bin/llvm-gcc --version |head -1
/usr/bin/llvm-gcc: Command not found.
/usr/bin/gcc --version | head -1
i686-apple-darwin10-gcc-4.2.1 (GCC) 4.2.1 (Apple Inc. build 5646)
/usr/bin/clang --version |head -n1
/usr/bin/clang: Command not found.

So to repeat myself, it looks like you don't have the Xcode Command Line Tools installed. They are a prerequisite for using MacPorts. Go to the Xcode preferences and install them.

Thanks. I thought I had already installed it. Now gs is installed.

Resolution: invalid
Status: newclosed

You should uninstall your old version of Xcode in the /Developer directory too.
