Description
weechat 0.4.0 is available; the port should be updated to this version, or to 0.3.9.2 or 0.3.9.1:
$ port livecheck weechat weechat seems to have been updated (port version: 0.3.9, new version: 0.4.0)
You had previously sent an attempt at updating to 0.3.9.2 to the mailing list:
http://lists.macosforge.org/pipermail/macports-dev/2012-November/021078.html
But it failed to build for you and you were asking for help with that.

an updated version of the patch using weechat 0.4.0 which fails with the same libiconv error

While trying to figure out how to get a more verbose build log, to see whether or not "-liconv" was being added in the right place, I realized that the cmake portgroup should have already been enabling a verbose build by default. That's when I realized that your portfile modifications, which are for the first time using the cmake portgroup, overwrite the portgroup's configure.args. The build works by changing this to configure.args-append. The latest patch attached should be ready to commit.

Over a month without a reply or accepting the ticket, should we consider this abandonment?
