Please note I had a similar problem of archive signature with sqlite3.

I don't know what to do with "Failed to verify signature for archive" tickets.

Clean and try again? This isn't a problem with the port itself but with the binary package download.

Also, you should attach the log file that is referenced in the message you copy/pasted.

the log had these lines:
